A New Family(A Twilight Fanfic)

Chapter 1

Macy was sitting against the wall of a building. She had been living in Forks all her life, with her father. Her mother had died when she was two. It has been just her and her father since then. But ever since she was young, he had been abusing her and doing other things to her. When she turned ten, he had started sexually assaulting her. Macy is now fourteen and she decided to run away after a brutal beating. She was crying and would wince every time she moved because she was in a lot of pain. Her abdomen was sore and her leg was throbbing. She was pretty sure it was broken. Just then, she heard someone at one end of the alley. Macy stopped crying and hid behind a dumpster. She heard footsteps get closer to her and police officer appeared. It was Chief Swan.

"Are you alright?" He asked. Macy didn't answer. Charlie noticed that she was holding her arm.

"Are your hurt?" He asked. "I can help you." He reached a hand out. Macy whimpered and backed into a corner. She was terrified that he was going to hit her.

"You're injured. You need to see a doctor." Charlie said. "Let me bring you to the hospital." Macy shook her head.

"It's ok." Charlie said, reassuring her. "I'm not going to hurt you." Macy was quiet for a minute and then nodded her head.

"Come on." Charlie said. Macy followed behind him.

As they walked to his car, Charlie noticed that she was limping. "Here. Lean on me." He said. Macy allowed him to help her. Charlie helped her into the passenger side of the cruiser. He got in the driver side and headed towards the hospital.

"What happened to you?" Charlie asked. Macy didn't answer. "What's your name?" Charlie asked. Macy didn't say anything at all. Charlie gave up on trying to talk to her.

When they got to the hospital, Charlie helped Macy out of the car and they walked inside. "Chief Swan." A nurse said, surprised. "What can I do for you?"

"This girl needs to be checked out." Charlie said.

"Ok." The nurse said. "I'll bring you guys to a room and get Dr. Cullen."

"Thank you." Charlie said. The nurse brought them to a room. Charlie stayed with Macy to keep her company. Just then, a man came into the room. He had blonde hair, pale skin, and golden eyes.

"Hello Chief Swan." The man said.

"Hello Dr. Cullen." Charlie said.

"Who's this?" The doctor asked, looking at Macy.

"A girl I found." Charlie said. He looked at Carlisle. "Could I speak to you outside for a moment?" Carlisle nodded. They walked into the hallway and closed the door behind them. "I found her in alley." Charlie said.

"Who is she?" Carlisle asked. "What happened to her?"

"I don't know." Charlie said. "She hasn't said anything since I found her. She was limping, so I brought her here." Carlisle nodded "Carlisle, I don't know what happened to her, but she was terrified when I found her in that alley."

"I'll try to talk to her and see if I can find anything out." Carlisle said.

"Ok." said Charlie. "I'll wait out here."

Carlisle nodded and walked back into the room. He saw the girl sitting curled up in a ball, with her arms around her legs. She was rocking back and forth.  "Hello." He said to Macy. "I'm Dr. Cullen. May I ask what your name is?"

Macy was quiet before answering. "Macy." She said.

"It's nice to meet you, Macy." Carlisle said. Macy just nodded. She wasn't even looking at him. She had been looking down at her lap since she had been in the room.
