One evening, it was fairly early into the night and Macy had gone to bed about an hour ago. The rest of the family was downstairs, watching tv. Just then, they saw Macy walk into room. "Are you ok, Macy?" Rosalie asked. Macy didn't answer.

"Macy?" Esme asked. Macy didn't acknowledge them and just continued to walk into the room.

"She's sleep walking." Carlisle said as he got up from the chair he was sitting in and went over to Macy. He lead her back up to her room and tucked her in bed. He decided to stay in her room in case she started sleep walking again.

Later that evening, it was sometime during the middle of the night. All of a sudden, they heard Macy screaming in her sleep. "Macy!" Esme said. Bella cringed, hearing Macy's scream.

"Are you ok, Bella?" Edward asked.

"Yeah." Bella said.

Upstairs, Carlisle was trying to wake Macy up. "Macy." He said, touching her shoulder. "Wake up, sweetie." Macy shot up in bed. "Hey. Hey. It's ok." Carlisle said. "You're ok."

Macy picked up her phone and started typing. "What happened?"

"You were screaming in your sleep." Carlisle answered. "I'm guessing you had another nightmare." Macy nodded. "I'm sorry." Carlisle said, hugging her. Macy didn't say anything. They both were quiet for moment.

Just then, Carlisle felt Macy shaking against him. He also heard heartbeat get faster. He realized she was having a panic attack. "Macy. Look at me." Carlisle said, looking at her. "Listen to my voice and focus on me." Macy looked at Carlisle. "Breathe." Carlisle said. "Take deep breaths." Macy was still trembling. Carlisle held Macy close and stroked her hair, trying to calm her down. But it wasn't helping. Just then, they heard classical music playing. Carlisle felt Macy stop shaking and heartbeat went back to normal. "Are you ok?" He asked her. Macy didn't answer and started to cry. "Shh. Don't cry. It's ok." Carlisle said, holding her. "You're ok." They stayed like that for a little bit.

"I love you, Dad." Macy said. Carlisle froze for a moment. He looked at Macy. "Oh. I'm sorry. It was just in the moment and it slipped out." Macy said, talking fast. "I'm sorry." Carlisle hugged Macy, tightly.

"I love you too, sweetheart." He said as he stroked her hair.

She typed on her phone. "You're not mad that I said that or called you that? I mean, I'm not your daughter and I'm just some foster kid."

"Of course I'm not mad and you are not just some foster kid." Carlisle said. "I care very much about you. We all do. You are more than welcome to call me Dad, if you want to." Macy nodding, hugging Carlisle. "Now, go back to sleep." Carlisle said.

"I don't want to go back to sleep." Macy typed. "I'm going to have nightmares."

"Macy, you need to go to sleep." Carlisle said. "You haven't been getting a lot of it, lately."

"Can i please watch tv?" Macy typed. Carlisle sighed.

"That's fine." He said. "But only for a little bit."

"Thank you." Macy typed. She got out of bed and headed downstairs. Carlisle grabbed Macy's blanket, off her bed, and followed her downstairs. They walked into the tv room.

"Hi Macy." Emmett said. Macy waved to everyone. Carlisle handed Macy her blanket. She wrapped it around and laid down on the couch. Esme, who was sitting next to Macy, started rubbing her back.

About an hour or two later, Macy was getting tired, but she was trying to stay awake. "Macy, why don't you go back up to bed." Carlisle said to Macy.

"Can I stay up just a little bit longer?" Macy typed.

"Macy, you need to go back to sleep." Carlisle said. "You're exhausted and you're barely able to stay awake."

"Come on. I'll tuck you in bed." Esme said. "You can sleep in mine and Carlisle's room, if you want." Macy sighed and followed Esme upstairs. They could hear Esme singing to Macy. Edward went into the music room and started playing the piano. Esme came back down.

"Did she fall back asleep?" Jasper asked.

"Yeah." Esme said. "Hopefully, she won't wake up for the rest of the night." Edward came back into the room. "Thank you, Edward." Esme said.

"We need to do something." Rosalie said. "This is getting worse."

"Well, what are we going to do?" Alice said. "She won't see a therapist. The classical music isn't helping anymore."

"I may have an idea that might work." Bella said.

"What is it, Bella?" Esme asked.

"Jacob gave me a dream catcher for my 18th birthday." Bella said. "I used it when you guys were in New York and it did help some nights."

"Why did you need to use it?" Edward asked. "And what about other nights?" Bella was quiet. She never told Edward how bad it was those months that he was gone. She didn't want him to feel guilty. "Bella?" Edward persisted.

"You don't need to know." Bella said. "And it's not important right now."

"No. Hold on." Edward said. "I want to know."

"Edward, If I tell you, you're going to hate yourself and feel guilty." Bella said. "And I don't want you to feel guilty."

"Tell me, please." Edward said. Bella sighed.

"The way Macy woke up screaming, is how I used to wake up screaming almost every night when you were gone." Bella said. Edward was quiet, not knowing what to say. "Is that why you were cringing a earlier?" Alice asked. Bella nodded. "But, the dream catcher did help me a little bit, if you want to use it." Bella said.

"We can try it." Carlisle said.

"Ok. I'll go and get it from Charlie's tomorrow." Bella said.

"Thank you, Bella." Esme said. Carlisle walked up to Macy's room and sat in a chair. He figured he would watch over her in case she had another nightmare.
