Chapter 2 - Bonding of pain and heartbeats

It was like she was being cut open from the inside. The pain in the middle of her chest was like she was having the surgery she has five months ago.

Scar pains aren't new to her, she is a heart kid or pain in general. She was born in pain. Hell, the heart she was born with, it was almost bad enough that it almost killed her before she could meet her brother.

But this pain, it was new. Never had a scar pain made her stop, never had pain stopped her from doing what she wanted.

Kittina was born into pain as she likes to call it. Not that she has been stab before, but she has felt enough pain that she can power through a knife wound for a few hours before dropping because of blood loss. If you feel pain enough you can't feel it. Because you stop caring about the pain.

But heart surgery scar pains are a bitch.

Kittina clutches the travel pillow to her chest, applying presser to the site of the pain always worked in the past. It wasn't now.

Lunar walked inside the room, walking over to the couch Kittina was balled upon.

The Royalraptor's feathers puffed up as she asked, "Hi, how you doing?"

Kittina forces herself to smile, "I'm fine my moon."

But the hybrid just huffed at her mother, Lunar could tell that her mother was in pain, but the Royal also knew that her mother can be very silly. So Lunar did the only thing that she could think of. She went to get pain meds and Solar.

Now, Lunar knew where her mother kept the weird chewie thing that made her feel better when she was hurt, but she didn't know which one would help.

The dark-colored Royal walked into the kitchen, were Solar and the Meds were. Lunar used her long feather tipped tail to smack the bright colored Royal, getting Solar to come with her.

After grabbing Solar and climbing the counter to reach the medicine box, and surprisingly not falling, Lunar goes back to the couch, where she places the box in front of her mother.

The Macaw sized Royals hopped onto the couch. Solar lays down on Kittina's lower side puffing up feathers after laying down. Lunar nudges Kittina's arms, replacing the pillow with herself. Both Hybrids start to listen to her heartbeat. Solar is almost immediately lulled to sleep by the sound, but lunar stay awake for a little while longer, guarding almost.

As Lunar falls asleep she mumbles about weird but calm noise and falls asleep contently.

Kittina follows her Royals soon after she takes some pain meds.

figured I would do some fluff to mentally prepare myself for the next chapter. Only a few more chapters two at most until the surprise!
