Chapter 5 - Royalraptor Trainer

There are two things that Kittina hates about traveling overseas. Boats and planes. It might not help that she doesn't know how to swim. But seeing Henry more than twice ever couple month while not practically strapped to a bed will be nice.

The cruise to the island wasn't as long as she thought it was going to be, probably because she slept through it.

The moment Kittina stepped foot off the cruise she knew two things. The Island was absolutely gorgeous, and she will strangle anyone who tries to make her go on the aquatic deathtrap again. Slowly, and painfully.

She feels, overdressed, layer-wise. The oversized grey jacket with a DnD dice ying-yang symbol on the back and "When in doubt send in some Bardic inspiration." in print on the front. She had a purple long sleeve shirt on with black leggings. Kittina had knee-high hiking boots over fox themed socks.

Not that she can help it, it always cold.

After her inter monologue Kittina looks around, hoping to find her friend. After not seeing him, she pulls out her phone to text him, after all, he could be in a meeting.

Henry soon replies with a texted telling her a meeting place.

"Kitten, how are you, any complications in the past months?" Henry asked.

"I'm fine Hen, other than the normal overprotective mom and brother, nothing so far, how have you been this past five months?" Kittina asked.

"Normal thing, take care of everything, makes sure no one messes anything up." He explains.

As they were talking, they made it to the car, Henry opened the door for Kittina, which she rolls her eyes at, but accepts it and says thanks to him.

"Didn't realize normal things involved getting me a job as a dinosaur trainer." She joked.

"I decided that someone needed too, after all, you weren't going to get yourself one." He smirked.

"I was!" She claimed but was meet with some chuckle from her friend.

After they arrive, Henry's eyes still having laughter in them, they enter the lab. Claire is quick to notice Henry and his companion and goes over to greet them.

"Kittina this is Ms.Claire Dearing, the park's Operations Manager, Ms.Dearing this is Kittina Rosezilia, she will be working here as a trainer. " Henry introduced.

"Isn't she a bit young to be a trainer?" Claire asked.

"I'm in my late twenties, I'm just small," Kittina explained.

The Operations Manager went to ask more questions but a glare from Henry stopped her. After a quick goodbye, Henry leads his friend away on a tour of the lab, ends in his lab. Along the way making small jokes, possibly terrifying the people who work with the Geneticist.

In his office, she sees a framed picture of a burning phoenix with the words, "Burn today to soar tomorrow." she turns to Henry.

"You still have this old thing? I was barely descent at the basics of paint when I made this." Kittina said.

Walking over to her to look at the picture, Henry claimed. "It is one of your best works, so forgive me for being sentimental."

Henry leads the Burnette to the couch to discuss what she will be doing. He explains that she will reside in a bungalow, which she will be raising her charges before they are ready to live in their paddock.

He soon switches gears and goes into the dinosaurs, explaining what they are, he calls them Royalraptors. Henry tells his friend that he didn't change much about their outline on the hybrids, but he chose an African Grey whos family has been bred in captivity for a while.

"You know, they will be some smart Dinos, maybe they will start talking!" Henry joked.

"If they do, I'm teaching them to sing!" Kittina declared.

"let's hope they don't get your singing skills then" Henry laughed.

Before she could respond to Henry, a worker came in.

"The eggs are hatching Dr.Wu!" The worker said.

The Girls are almost here! And I have a surprise that will come into play later in the story.
