Chapter 10

"I felt sad about him, tho" Lilliane said while eating her spaghetti. Nakanguso lang sya at ako naman ay nakatunganga lang. We're here at the nearest Mcdo. Naabutan namin si Trevor kanina sa Terminal, we bid our goodbyes.

Our days became faster and we only have a week until the summer break ends. Mom invited the whole company for a beach celebration. The construction of the law firm started two weeks ago. Nakausap ko narin yung ibang architects and nagkaron ng kaunting renovations. But they told me that my work was great so I agreed, after all, nasa kanila naman ang desisyon kung anong mangyayari.

Hindi ko na kinausap pa si Enuo pagkatapos naming umuwi galing sa terminal noon. Nagkakaron nalang kami ng interactions pag nililike nya ang mga litrato ko sa instagram.

Weeks suddenly felt like hours. Time became really fast and I just found myself greeting the guests in front of the hotel. I entered the hotel with Lilliane.

Nagpa-alam sya sakin na mag ccr sya kaya naman nagkahiwalay kami. I wore a simple yellow dress that suits my body very well.

Pumasok ako sa loob ng elevator at binati naman ako ng ilang mga empleyadong nandoon. I smiled at them.

Paglabas ko sa 12th floor, I immediately went to our room. Magkasama kami ni Lilliane at katabi lang namin ang kwarto ni Luya Lloren at ng kaibigan nyang si Kuya Khael.

I swiped my card and slammed my body against the soft mattress.

I took off my hat and closed my eyes. I just want to be relaxed. I suddenly received a call from Lilliane.

"Bitch you won't believe this!" Inilayo ko ang tenga ko dahil sa sigaw nya.

"What is it now Lilliane?!" Inis kong sigaw pabalik at inayos ang ulo ko.

"He's here!" Nagpapanic na sigaw nya at para bang nakakita ng multo

"Ha? Who's there?" Matamlay na tanong ko.

"Enuo Dela Cerna is here and he's fucking hot?!" Napatayo ako at napahawak sa dibdib dahil sa narinig.

"C-come again?! Na choppy ka ata!" Sigaw ko making sure I wasn't mistaken.

"Si Enuo! Yung naging jowa mo for a day! Oo yung partner mo sa projects! Oo yung nakalaban mo sa contest! Sya!" Lilliane shouted.

"Hey you don't need to be that detailed!"

"So what are we gonna do?" She asked. My brows furrowed.

"We don't need to do anything. Just stay casual? I mean, we're still friends noh." I said.

"Yeah right after you dumped him?" Napapikit ako nang maalala ko nanaman kung paano ko sya iniwan.

Yeah, the reason why we haven't had any conversation was because of me. He tried communicating to me. He even sends goodmorning messages but I was lazy to reply or maybe, I was scared.

Pinatawag kaming lahat sa beach area kasi magkakaroon daw ng team building activity. Obviously, hindi kami kasali dahil para lang 'yon sa kumpanya.

We sat in a nipa hut and looked around. Lilliane took a photo of me and posted it in my IG story.

When I looked at my story, Enuo's icon was there at the bottom. He saw it.

I suddenly received a dm from him.

When I clicked it, I saw bunch of messages from him the last few weeks. He always updates me even though I don't reply to him.

Enuo: Kumain ka ah

Enuo: I just finished my class, kasama ko si Hisham sa shop nya.

Enuo: It sounds annoying but I really miss you.
