Ch 2

Genevieve's POV
  I woke up in my pink, blue, and gold colored room with only one thing planted inside of my head: tomorrow we're going to be out of Florida and traveling to see the beautiful lands of Mexico, Jamaica, & Grand Cayman.

  This was the first time I've ever been on a cruise so although I was very excited, I was also quite anxious to board a ship with a bunch of strangers in the middle of the ocean. However, despite feeling like this, I knew that the cruise was going to be the best week of my whole life. When I got up I had looked to see my mother in the hallway packing last minute gadgets that she believed we may need and even packing last minute clothing items that my brother Lucas hadn't packed on his own considering he is only seven.

  After I brushed my braces filled teeth, Beni called me and I answered with my phone facing the ceiling. Her first words weren't "are you excited for the cruise?" Or "how do you feel that the day has finally come?" Her first words were "Hey loser!" I then told her to shut up because she's rude! We continued to talk for an hour until I remembered I forgot to pack my bathing suit. I got a text from Beni around 2 P.M. in which she asked if I wanted to go bowling and I proceeded to tell her yes.

At around 5 P.m. I walked to Beni's house considering how close in distance it was to my own. Beni only lived around the corner. Rose picked us up at around 6:30 P.M. when we got there, I noticed Taylors cologne smelled so good which made Rose and I admire the smell for the rest of the night. We finished our final round at 9:45 P.M. which followed with Beni getting a text from Cathy that read "Start finishing up because I'm coming to pick you and Genie up with Nona." The highlight of the whole bowling trip was the fact that Beni consistently told everyone how amazing she was at bowling only to be beaten by Jason.

Later, we got a text from Cathy to Beni saying to come outside because she had arrived. We got into the car and we were there at the hotel by 2 A.M. the car ride there was chaotic, but in a good way and we were all so exhausted to the point where we fell asleep right when we began to lay down. With that, we are excited for the adventure that awaits us tomorrow!
