Eyes Up - A Tratie story

Chapter 5

Katie POV:

I wake up the next morning to a terrible smell. I look around the cabin but I can't find the source of it. When I couldn't see the o find anything that could be a prank, I get up and begin to Search the cabin. But as soon as I step down onto the floor my feet stick to it. I immediately head to the cleaning closet to get a mop. As I ponder on how on earth the floor got so nasty, something cold, smelly, and sticky falls ALL over me.

"STOLLS!!!!!!!!" I am on the verge of tears at this point and storm out of the cabin covered in the gross muck that had to of been placed there by a Stoll. As I see the boys begin to come over, it was Connor that looked excited this time, and Travis looked sad and, wait. HE LOOKED GUILTY! He felt bad for what he did! When he came over, I had come to the conclusion the prank was meant for Miranda, as Connor clearly was head over heels for her. Now that I knew that Travis felt bad, I felt that I should mess with him a bit. I slouch down onto the stair and stick my head in my lap and begin to cry.

"KATIE!" I realize that Travis is suddenly next to me worried and looking as if he is about to cry. I look up at him, and decide to take it a step further as pay back for yesterday, not to mention, I wanted to know if all the rumors of him liking me were true. So I just look up at him, still crying, and just fall over into his chest and sob. He just wraps his arms around me and hugs me. When I finally "get a hold of myself" if you will, I look up and see Connor looking EXTREMELY scared, so I turn around and see a FUMING Miranda. I pull her to the side and tell her my plan and how it was Connor that did the prank to get her attention. She suddenly likes this whole idea and goes and tells the rest of the cabin about the idea. Ten minutes later, the entire demeter cabin comes out of the cabin on the verge of tears covered in the muck. The Stolls look TERRIFIED as Miranda leads the way and begins to yell at the two of them.

"MY CABIN SMELLS LIKE SHIT AND IS FED UP WITH YOU! THIS IS THE LAST TIME YOU GET AWAY WITH THIS, THE NEXT TIME THAT ANYONE IN THE CABIN GETS PRANKED, YOU WILL REGRET EVER MESSING WITH THE DEMETER KIDS!" And with that she walks away from the terrified Hermes brothers, with a satisfied look on her face. Just as we are about to go back in we see the brothers come SCREAMING at us and running towards us.

"What do you want Stolls?" I ask.

"Don't....use the......shower...." they pant out. At this rate Miranda has already gone into the bathroom. A blood Curdling scream comes from the shower.

"Too late." I tell them with a smirk forming on my face.

Oh no they're rubbing off on me.

"AHHHHHHHHH"

I hear the Stolls scream as t hey sprint as far from our cabin as they can as I see a furious Miranda run after them smelling like fish and with blood red skin. I just chuckle as I walk back into the cabin.

"Okay, I want you guys to mop the floor and cleaning closet while I clean the shower and then we will all get showers and go to breakfast. Miranda has the Stolls under control. Okay?"

The cabin nods their heads and gets to work. Once I have cleaned the shower I get in and wash the gunk off of me. I throw on my favorite ripped jeans, a back nasa sweatshirt, and some black vans. I blow dry my hair and put some waves in it pulling it into a half up half down style. I grab my watch and glasses and head out to find the rest of the cabin is cleaned up and smelling like flowers like usual. People start filing into the showers, while others head to the cabins who had offered to let us use their bathrooms. We all get cleaned up and head to breakfast. When we get there we find a smug looking Miranda who is back to normal at this point and some weary looking Stoll brothers.

"What did you DO to them?!" I laugh as I look at some very odd looking Hermes children.

"Oh, I just beat up Connor and told Travis I would tell the entire camp what is in his notebook under his Buick if he pranked us again."

"Wait, what is in his notebook???" I am curious at this point. Travis never was the type to write in a journal. He always said that diaries were girls.

"Oh just who he has had a crush on for the past 10 years."

"No way! WHO!!?"

"That I can't tell you, if I said, they wouldn't hesitate to beat me up."

I spend the rest of the meal trying to find out who on earth the girl was. I look over at their table to find an odd situation. Connor was drooling over Miranda while practically making out with a strawberry, while Travis what looked to be sketching in a notebook.

After breakfast we had to go to sword fighting. As usual, we were with the Hermes cabin, and councilors were paired. I head over to our usual spot. He was staring off into space and didn't notice I was there. I clear my throat and chuckle as he jumps. We get started and just as I was about to pin him down he asks me a question.

"Who do you like Katie-kat?"

"Excuse me, WHAT?"

He just laughs and then pins me down. He gets close to my face and I can feel his breath on my face.

"I asked who you liked." He whispers next to my ear.

"That is uh, that is none of your business."

He just hovers over my face looking at me. He looked distracted and with hat I flipped us over so I was on top and I decide to have some fun. I get up in his face and as him the same thing.

"I figured you already knew Katie-kat, I would have imagined Miranda would have told you by now."

"Nope, I tried but she said you'd beat her up."

"Well let me make is crystal clear." With that he flipped us over and held me down so couldn't attempt to flip us again. He waits a minute Just looking at me laughing as I squirmed trying to flip us.

"It's you Katie, it has always been you and it will always be you." And then he kisses me. The fool KISSED me, in front of the ENTIRE class!!! And then he just gets up and sprints out of there leaving me sitting in the middle of our practice area staring forward blankly wondering what the heck just happened.

He just kissed you idiot, and you liked it. Don't try to argue with yourself you were always terrible at debate. You like him and you better admit it to yourself or I swear to god I will scream at you, well, at myself, that doesn't matter, just go find him and tell him you like him you dumb dumb.

"Katie?" It was one of the little girls from the Hermes cabin.

"Yes?"

"Well uh, I just wanted to tell you that we have know he had a huge crush on you since forever, and that in case you thought it was just a prank, he was being serious. He loves you Katie. Please don't hurt him. I think you like him too and should go find him." Damn for a seven year old she knew how to set people up, how is she not in Aphrodite?

Just go and find him, its worth it, he is worth it. But where could he be?
