Eyes Up - A Tratie story

Chapter 6

I know this might not be the best chapter, but you guys have all been so kind to me and I really wanted to show my appreciation for being so patient with me. <3

Travis POV

I ran out of there as fast as I could, I couldn't understand what could have made me do that! I get back to our cabin and realize that it is literally the WORST place to hid from my siblings. I grab some paper and a pencil and run into the forest.

I look for a sturdy looking tree and climb. When I get to a large branch I sit down and let out a breath I hadn't realized I had been holding.

Dad, why? Why does it have to be her? Why does it have to be anyone at all? Why can't I just get on in life without getting butterflies in my stomach whenever I see her? Or couldn't you have like given me some ability to not be an awkward fool around her? You're a freaking god for gods sake. HELP ME OUT HERE!!

I froze. There was someone or something under me and I was scared to see what it was. I close my eyes tightly and hold my breath. When I finally open my eyes I see the all to familiar green eyes of a Demeter girl. I screamed like a little girl and fall out of the tree.

Vines catch me before I hit the ground, but not before all of my dignity was lost. I heard laughing from the tree and could feel myself turning beet red. I look up to see Katie cracking up barely staying in the tree. I tried to make a run for it but the vines around me just tightened.

"How did you even find me?"

"I wasn't trying to, I come here to clear my head of things that confuse me or bother me or I just can't get out and want to think things over. Your annoyingly cu-creepy self just happened to be here, and I save you ass sooooooo."

"You couldn't get me out of your head huh?" I ask wiggling my eyebrows."

"Shut up before I make you."

"I'd like to see that." By now she is red with fury and I was about to laugh. But I should have been worried, because the next thing I know, the vines around me are tightening and I can't breathe.

"Test me again Stoll and you won't be so lucky." And with that she let me go. Just when I thought she was done, she wraps vines around my ankles causing me to squeal earning a laugh out of her.

"What now?"

"I forgot to tell you something."

"Oh gods above save me I didn't mean for anything to go this farrrrrrr."

"Well do you not even want to know? Cause I will gladly walk away with you tied up."

"Gods fine just tell m-"

And she kissed me. She actually kissed me. Or maybe I started hallucinating, the blood was rushing to my head by now.

"I love you."

And she walked away as the vines around me slowly set me down.
