Eyes Up - A Tratie story

Chapter 9

Travis POV

Okay yes I know that I should have told her the truth, but it hurt too much. I almost lost her, isn't that enough? I love Katie gardener, and my stupidity almost got her killed. I'm never going to think about it again.

- time skip cause I'm lazy -

I wake up to Connor hitting me on the face.

"What are you doing?"

"Making sure you're alive...."

"..."

"Just don't ask."

I jumped out of bed, threw on a hoodie, and sprinted to the Demeter cabin, knowing full well it was only seven in the morning and Katie sleeps until eight. I sneak into her room and sit in the corner watching her sleep. It's not creepy, It's just concern. When she wakes up, she always does the same thing. She sits up, yawns, stretches, then reaches out as if waiting for someone to hug her, then puts her arms down when she realizes no one is there. But this morning, I decided to try something.

"Morning Katie-kat."

She suddenly jumps when she realizes who she's hugging. I just chuckle and pull her up onto my lap. She leans into my chest while rubbing her eyes and putting her hand on my chest.

"Travvvvvvvvv. Five more minutes, pleaseeeeeee."

"No katie-kat, you need to wake up."

"I don't wannaaaaa."

So of course my reasoning was that the only logical way to wake her up was to kiss her. Whichhhhhhhh kinda lead to her rolling back over onto her bed, pulling me with her.

"Katesssssss"

"I wanna snuggle."

"Katie you need to get up."

"Snuggle."

"No."

"SNUGGLE."

"FINE."

In all retrospect, I cave way too easily. So we snuggled. Innocent enough. Exceptttttt Connor didn't think so.

"You know this could get you in serious trouble bro..."

of course. Connor was standing at the window waving the camera back and forth.

"Connor get rid of it."

"Nahhhhhhhh- AHHHHHHH!"

I may or may not have chased him.

-time skip to the big house-

"Would you two boys like to tell me what happened?"

"He was snuggling with gardener and I took a photo..."

"She was having a bad dream and I was helping her, I may or may not have been there to set up a prank but still..."

Gods I hate lying to him.

"Well then what happened?"

"I may have punched him, it's a blur, sir." A/N Hamilton reference anyone?

"You two are brothers, I'll let you work it out, but stop with the punching?"

"Yes sir....."
