Hello!
Welcome to my story! Some of you are either coming from OG 2013 or IPY 3.0 (2020). This version may have been your introduction to "I'll Protect You." Or this story may be entirely new to you and you may be thinking, "Why the fuck are there three different versions?"
Each version has been written at a different stage of my life. I started "I'll Protect You" when I was about 14/15, wrapping up middle school and starting high school. I rewrote it again when I was a junior or senior in high school. I felt like I'd matured then and wanted to give a rewrite a shot.
And now I'm in law school. It's been a long time since I've written but my writing style has changed yet again and I wanted to do these characters and this story justice -- even if it is just a cheesy story about a princess and her bodyguard.
I hope you guys give each version a chance. I do want to clarify that the current, updating version (as of 2020) is the official version. All of the events that happen in that version are canon. This version and the 2013 version are like a fever dream or an AU (alternative universe).
