Annabeth's POV
I grip my sword's handle and grab Malcolm's hand and judo flip him over my shoulder. I step on his chest and put my dagger to his throat. I step back and Malcolm puts up his hands in surrender. I laugh and help him up. I brush my hands off on my shorts and tighten my ponytail.
"Have you gotten better since the last fight when you disarmed me and got both of my swords?" Malcolm asked. I shrug and smile. He whistles and I help him up from the arena. Piper runs up to me and tells me,
"Chiron wants us to come to the Big House. He says it's important."
"Is it another quest?" I ask. Piper shakes her head. Jason comes up and puts his hand on Piper's shoulder. Piper looks up at him and smiles. I feel a pang in my heart. I miss Percy, and he had to go to Goode high school because Sally made him. I miss the way he would look at me with those puppy-dog sea green eyes. I miss everything about him.
"You coming?" Jason asks. I nod. I look at Malcolm.
"See you later," I say. He waves at me as if he's shooing me away. I roll my eyes. I grab my dagger and put it in my sheath on my belt.
< 5 minutes later >
Jason, Piper, and I walk through the big oak doors and see Chiron pacing around the room. Leo, Frank, and Hazel are there already. Almost every one of the 7 is here...almost. Then two girls walk through the doors. My jaw drops and I go and hug Thalia and side-hug Calypso. I'm still a little wary of her because she tried to get Percy. I see Leo jump on his chair and start singing, "You are my sunshine" to Calypso. Everyone in the room rolls their eyes. Calypso runs over to him and pulls his collar down to kiss him. I feel another pang of heartsickness. I miss Percy so much.
Chiron gestures for Thalia and I to sit. Jason and Piper are holding hands, Hazel is leaning on Frank's shoulder, and Calypso is sitting on the arm of Leo's chair, his hand in her lap. And I am just sitting here, wringing my hands out wishing Percy was here. Thalia was standing against the wall with her arms crossed.
"The Gods have come to a decision. They want you to get a different perspective of the mortals for future quests, so they have asked me to tell you that they have decided to send you... to highschool in New York." We all are silent for a second, absorbing this information. Then Thalia yells,
"WHAT?" We all launch into a ambushing of 'we can't!' and 'no way' and 'what about camp?' and 'Omigods no!' and basically, "WHY IN THE GODS WOULD WE DO THAT?" Chiron looked at me for help.
I said quietly, "Maybe it's a good idea." Everyone immediately stopped attacking Chiron and gaped at me.
"Well, which high school is it?" I asked.
"Goode High, the school that Perseus goes to," Chiron answered.
"We'd get to see Percy more often, and get to see how the mortals think and what they do. It would help us with any more quests if we have them, and if we need to get a job in the mortal world we will be able to." I say.
"Maybe it is an okay idea..." Hazel says. I smile at her gratefully. Little by little everyone nods and says it would be nice to see Percy again. The only person left is Thalia. She throws her hands up and says,
"I'm outnumbered, aren't I?" Chiron shrugs and nods. "FINE." She says, and we all cheer. I will get to see my boyfriend soon!

RomanceHey guys! This is my second story; unedited but I have Grammarly so... I know a lot of people do these but they are SO FREAKIN CUTE I couldn't resist. :) I want to make Annabeth strong like in the book, not a person who doubts Percy at the quickest...
