(Third person point of view)

"Grandpa? Grandpa? Grandpa." Says Maisie, running into Benjaman Lockwood's bedroom.

"Maisie. What are you doing up?" He asks her, after shutting the photo album he was looking at. The album is filled with pictures of his departed daughter, and a couple of his oldest granddaughter.

"There was a man here today, with Mr. Mills." Maisie tells him, rather quickly, glancing at the book. She always wondered what her mother looked like, but her grandpa wouldn't show her.

"It was probably just some business about the sactuary, is all." Benjamin says with a kind smile.

"I heard them talking. They're going to sell the dinosaurs. They're bringing them here." Maisie had in fact heard them talking, and they are heading here right now.

"I'm sure you misunderstood." Benjamin Lockwood pushes her comment aside.

"I know what I heard, Grandpa." She says, standing her ground.

"Maisie... it's way past your bedtime. Let's talk about this in the morning." Her grandpa tells her.

"But..." Maisie begins to protest, but is cut off again.

"Maisie. I'll find out tomorrow. Go to bed." Benjamin tells her.

"Good night." Maisie huffs, before leaving his room.

"Good night, my heart." He calls after her.

If her own grandfather wouldn't believe her, Maisie knew just who she needed turn to.

Her sister, (y/n).

Now, all she had to do was get a hold of her.

Wherever she is.

(your point of view)

"Oh, my God, you guys are alive! Look what they've done to her." Zia exclaims as the four of us finally locate the truck she and Blue are in.

Blue is badly injured, a bullet wound bleeds through the cloth Zia is holding to it.

"Who are these assholes?" I ask, climbing into the truck, and sitting beside Blue.

My dad strokes Blue's face, a can tell he's upset.

"Animal traffickers. Look how they're treating them. They're not gonna take them to a sanctuary." Zia tells us.

"They're gonna sell them." My dad growls.

"Not Blue, they need her for something else." Zia looks up at us.

"Like what?" Claire asks.

"I don't know, but she's... She's hemorrhaging and I don't have instruments to keep her alive." Zia rambles, she's right.

"Claire, come here. Put your hand here. Steady pressure." Claire comes over and takes over applying pressure for Zia.

Zia then looks to me. "This is my first time actually dealing with a real dinosaur, I need your help."

"You're doing great so far." I assure her. "But we can't take the bullet out without a transfusion from another animal."

She nods. "We'll have to get blood from another dinosaur on the boat."

"All of the animals should be sedated. We need a carnivore, with two or three fingers. No more than three." I say, checking Blue's weakening pulse.

"I think there is one on board." Zia mutters.

"Alright then. Zach, you come with me we're going to extract dinosaur blood." I turn to him, grabbing a needle with a blood bag attached to it.

I then turn to Zia, who protests agianst me leaving since I'm apparently the 'real paleo-veterinarian'.

"You've got this. You kept her alive this long, you can do it."

~~~
"You've got to be kidding me." Zach mutters beside me.
We both stand watching the sleeping T-Rex, the perfect blood type for Blue.
"She's tranqed." I assure him before climbing in the truck with Rexy.
Zach follows me warily, he's not as comfortable with these giant creatures.
"Okay, okay. I got it, come on." I locate the correct vein on her neck, and gesture for Zach to pass me the needle.
Suddenly Rexy moves, pushing me up against the side of the truck.
"(y/n)!" Zach says, worriedly.
"I'm okay!" I tell him, still trapped against the wall by Rexy's head.
"You're gonna have to do it." I tell him.
"I can't The skin is too thick, I'd have to use both hands to put pressure on the vein." Zach rambles.
"You gotta do it." I tell him.
"I, I can't, I can't reach..." He tries to reach the vein by just standing beside Rexy.
"You're gonna have to climb up there." I look at my boyfriend seriously.
"I'm not... I'm not gonna climb up there." Zach's face blanches.
"You'll be okay. It's like riding a motorcycle." I tell him.
"It'll probably be safer than actually riding on one with you driving." Zach smirks.
"Hey!" I protest. Rexy groans in her sleep. "She's asleep now. I can't say that she's gonna be asleep a minute from now. So, get up." I tell him.
"Okay, fine." Zach swings his leg over the enormous creature.
Rexy moves back the other way, Zach straddles her back hanging on for dear life.
"Oh my God, she stinks. Jesus!" He whispers.
"Good job. You're making this look totally normal." I giggle at him. "You're gonna have to jam it in here. It's really thick skin. Ready? One, two..."
Zach brings the needle down hard into the vein, Rexy sifts again.
"(Y/n)! It's working." He tells me, crimson blood starts flowing into the bag.
"Who left this open? I got it." Says a man's voice from outside the truck, the door is suddenly latched closed.
As if on cue, Rexy starts to stir. She opens her eyes, attempting to sit up. she hits  her head on the top and roars.
"The bars! I can get through here." Zach squeezes through the bars at the top of the truck, then makes his way around to open the door for me.
I'm trapped, and rexy is only getting angrier and more conscious.
"Come on. Jump, (y/n)!" Zach says, Rexy roars and I jump through her opened mouth.
The two of us struggle to get the door closed, then collapse on the ground panting.
"Did you see that? Please tell me you have the blood." I ask him, adrenaline still coursing through my veins.
Zach  smiles lightly, holding up the bag of blood.
We're going to do it, We're going to save Blue.
