SHE DESERVES BETTER

"Attention all passengers, please note this is an airport announcement, no passengers are permitted to leave any item unattended as this may be seen as a security risk, any unattended luggage will be removed by security and destroyed, Thank you". The voice of a female attendant echoed from the airport terminal speakers.

It was just another day at the airport, hundreds of people were going in and out of the airport , among the passengers was Amanda Ruiz, a mixed race Latina of moderate height, she had long curled hair which in association with her black shades made sure her face isn't clearly seen, Amanda had a short round nose and thick pink lips which were decorated with only her lip balm, on that day she wore a light blouse with black and white horizontal stripes which was covered by a heavy leather jacket which was left unbuttoned, on her back she carried a big black backpack, on her shoulder she hanged a brown handbag, she also pulled a large bag which literally troubled her, her black unfinished skinny jeans and blue sneakers completed her look, Amanda looked troubled with her lot of luggages but was in hurry to catch a transport outside the airport grounds.

Leonard smith, a tall and black male was also on the same airport terminal as Amanda, he wore a velvet black tuxedo and black Chelsea boots, on his left wrist he wore the infamous rolex wristwatch, on his right hand he held a mug of coffee which he sipped every now and then, he seemed to be waiting for someone, on seeing Amanda he smiled and walked towards her, he bumped her on purpose that some of his hot coffee spilled on Amanda's jacket.

"Oops am so sorry my lady, it is purely accidental, here let me help you cleanup your jacket" Leonard said as he took out his handkerchief and started cleaning Amanda's jacket, he swiftly slipped his index and middle finger in the inner pocket of her jacket and took a phone, then without a bit of alarming he slided it into his pocket. "May I help you with your luggages, you are clearly outnumbered, I'm headed your way" Leonard added. "Oh God you are a life saver, here help me with this" Amanda replied as she handed the handbag to Leonard, he escorted her to the taxi outside and bid her farewell.

In the taxi Amanda tried to take her phone to contact her hotel but it wasn't there, she froze for a second in dismay and went for her purse in the handbag, voila! It wasn't there also, she felt a sudden heart attack in a split second, Leonard had stolen her items! She ordered the taxi driver to take a sudden turn to the airport, but there she found no sign of her thief. She sat down not believing what just happened, she was a stranger in a new city without any cash, credit cards or passport.
