'Amanda, this is Leo, I need to see you right now, it is important, very' Leonard said in a frightened voice to Amanda through the phone

'You know where I live, you can come, can you?' Amanda replied in a sleepy voice

Few minutes later Amanda opened the door and Leonard entered inside, he had a big black backpack on his shoulder, he looked very worried

'Is everything okay?' she asked curiously

'Yes for now, I need you to stay with this bag, give it to Becky when she gets out of the hospital, I may not be there, don't open it or show it to anyone except Becky' Leonard said while handling the bag to Amanda

'Is there something I should know about? This is definitely not the time for riddles' Amanda asked in a panic tone

'There's everything you will need to know in the bag, after some time you will eventually know, I fucked up, really did and I don't want to talk about it right now, is that too much to ask? Leonard replied

'You smell like shit, If you are going to spend the night mind to take shower? The bathroom is that way' Amanda said pointing at the bathroom. Leonard smiled and went to take shower, the next day Amanda woke up early and found him still sleeping on the couch, she woke him up and they both prepared breakfast, after the breakfast they both headed to the hospital.

'Tomorrow is your birthday right?' Becky asked Leonard as he was walking her through the park, she was now almost recovered, 'What gift do you want?' she added

'Definitely not a dog, last time I checked it didn't go quite handsome' Leonard teased and they both laughed

'That nurse Amanda is really into you, you two are a thing? Becky asked curiously

'She deserves better' Leonard replied shortly and as they were still speaking four police SUV's surrounded them and arrested Leonard for the crime of armed robbery and murder cases, he was then cuffed alongside Mr. Derrick and other of his associates, Becky started crying and screaming but it was of no use, Amanda came and hugged her as they both cried.

Few weeks later Becky was discharged from the hospital and went to stay with Amanda, Leonard on the other side confessed the crimes he committed and was sentenced to life in prison, Mr. Derrick was also sentenced to life in prison after his drug network being discovered, three of the robbers were not arrested and they were nowhere to be seen to dat Becky didn't completely digested the fact that her brother was in the high security prison and she was never going to see him again, she was always sad and crying every time she saw his pictures, one day after supper Amanda brought the bag and handed it to her, they opened it and found large folds of money and a letter on top of it, Becky drew it out and started reading it aloud, it said;

Hey sweet sister, sorry for being pain in the ass, again! I'm writing this letter knowing that by the time it is in your hands i will be long gone, I know you have a lot of questions and you probably will hear a lot also from different people, I committed a crime and so I should face the music, my heart is grieving the fact that i will not be there to celebrate your med school nursing graduation or at least walk you down the aisle, I want you to know that I did what was necessary and you probably should have done the same, I left you that one million dollar in cash hoping that you will put it into good use, the only way to repay me is by going to college and have your nursing degree, I'm sorry again for tarnishing your image by being a criminal and a killer brother, remember that day years ago when you hid our father's money so that I would take it and go watch soccer?, yes that, I remember it and that's the way I want you to remember me, a brother you loved, little advice, don't ever give a fuck to what people think of you, you are a strong lady and will always be, pass my special greetings to Amanda, I loved her so much that i couldn't see her dating a lowlife pickpocket, stay safe and please don't give people pets on their birthdays
