Jake woke up in his bed only to see those emerald eyes he sees in his dreams every night.

"What do you want!" Jake yelled.  He tried to scream something more, but he could only make those words come out. Why only those words and not any other he didn't know. It always happened this way in his dreams. He always said exactly that, no matter how hard he tried to say anything else. But what he did know was that She was here. Darkness was here and had taken over.  He realizes it is only a dream but it still scares him, to think that those emerald eyes are staring at him and he can't do anything about it.

As Jake screams for the last time he wakes up and notices that he is late. Why does that dream keep reoccurring?  He can only wonder as he runs for the door of the bedroom only to be hit by it.

"Sorry, thought you were still sleeping." Philip, Jake's brother, laughed as he saw Jake laying on the floor.

"Ahhhhhh why did you open the door then and not just let me sleep?" Jake moaned as he got up and started for the bus that was on its way to leave. As Jake screamed he realized it was no good and went back inside. "Mom? Mom, you here?"

"What honey?" His mom walked down the stairs and looked surprised as she looked upon Jake's face and saw how his face shined in the light. "Did you miss the bus again? I'll drive you to school. Go and grab your jacket and hop in the car."

The car must have been running for at least an hour now because when Jake opened the door all the heat in the car flew into his face pushing his cinnamon hair back. Just as he was ready to hop in his mom yelled for him.

"Jake? Jake where are my keys? I could have sworn they were on the table just a few minutes ago."

"Mom there in the car. They have been there for at least an hour now." Jake screamed back as he hoped in the car and waited.

'I guess I'll just have to see if Mr. Burns won't yell at me for being late' Jake thought as his mom threw herself into the car and started to drive. As christmas songs started to play they finaly made it to school.

"Love you mom, see you when I get home!" Jake waved as his mom drove away.

"Love you too honey, and be ready for dinner tonight." She waved back as she drove out of the school parking lot and into the street.
