When you called me out,
And gave me that smile,
A spark of hope lit inside me,
Which never should have had.
You pat my head when I do okay,
You say I'm you're best friend,
You laugh, oblivious,
To my heart's screams and cries.
I knew you for so long,
So of course I can understand,
It'd be weird if I told you,
It'd be never the same again.
Of course I notice your eye for the other girl.
I have known you for so long,
I can tell all of your expression,
Like a written song.
It doesn't matter anymore,
I'm leaving anyways,
Might as well tell you,
The feelings that were locked away.
Now my heart is broken,
Not because you rejected me,
Not because you said we were friends,
Not because you loved someone else.
Honestly I never knew,
You shared my feelings too,
Now I'm crying on my new bed,
For taking so long to tell you.
Goodbye dear love,
I would never see you,
Please do smile and move on,
And forget this broken heart.
