GENEVIEVE CHEN.
NEW YORK CITY.

            My dearest Peter,

                        Isaac's walking.

I was reading the newspaper while he was playing with some of the toys he received at Christmas and all of a sudden I felt tapping on my arm. So I looked down and there he was, with the biggest smile on his little face, holding onto the arm of the sofa to stay on his feet as he waddled around to me. It was so adorable.

I only wish I'd had the camera with me to get a photograph of him walking. Though I suspect that if I'd had the camera the photo would have come out blurry. I was too busy smiling and picking him up to keep my coffee cup still, let alone a camera. I've got to get coffee stains out of my pajamas now!

Oh, Peter, Isaac was laughing so joyfully, so wonderfully, and he sounded so much like you. You should be here to see him smile and hear him laugh. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think that, as he grows and grows. You deserve to be here, my love.

Yours truly.
Genevieve Chen

PETER PEVENSIE.
ASLAN'S COUNTRY.

            My dearest Genevieve,

He's walking? Our son is walking! And how beautiful that scene you described it. I can see his smile, it looks just like yours. Your smile always made me fall a little more in love with you, something I never thought possible. I can hear his laughter, and you're right. He does sound like me. It's a miraculous sound, the laughter of our son.

I wish I was there to raise him with you, instead of merely watching from where I am and learning what I can from your letters. I like to think I would have done well at it, being a father, especially with you being my partner. There's so much I would do if I were there with you.

I love both of you more than anything. Remember that.

Sincerely yours,
Peter Pevensie
