(Y/N's POV)
I was at the office when I received a text from my girlfriend, Jennie, saying that we had to cancel our date tonight. Just like that.
My heart jumped out of my chest when I read it, and thought that I had done something wrong and she was mad at me. She didn't send any kisses, or emojis, or anything like she always does and when she doesn't do it... be prepared.
I called her right away and she picked up at the first ring.
"Baby?" She answered and I inmediately sighed in relief. So she's not mad. That's good.
"Babe what's up? Why did you cancel tonight?" I asked sounding insecure and her reply was a really dry cough. "Are you sick?" I asked even though it was pretty obvious.
"Yeah... I had to leave the studio" she let out in a raspy low voice. "More like they kicked me out because I was falling asleep in the couch." She finally said after dragging the sentence for way too long.
Poor baby you could tell it was hard for her to speak.
"Okay baby I'm coming home now. Did you have some medicine?" I asked her picking up my stuff from the table and putting it all inside my bag.
"I did. You don't have to come, I'll just sleep and I'll feel better when I wake up. Don't worry" She tried to speak some more but her cough cut her one more time.
"That's it I'm coming home." I repeated then walked towards the door, waving goodbye to my colleagues and carrying some papers under my arm. "I'll be there in 20 minutes, try to get some sleep yeah?" I asked and she hummed in response.
"I love you Y/N" she whispered and I automatically smiled. Even when she's sick she's the sweetest.
"I love you too Jenn" I said back then we hung up.
I started running and made it to my car in no time, not wasting any more time.
20 minutes later I'm opening the door to our house in a rush, with some soup I picked up for Jennie and some more medicines. You never know how much you're going to need.
Kuma and Kai ran towards me happily and jumped in my legs to get my attention.
I dropped everything on the island and patted both their heads, making them wiggle their tails excitedly.
"Have you been taking care of mommy?" I asked them and I got little barks as an answer. "I'll take that as a yes." I said then grabbed the soup and medicine and walked to our room.
My beautiful girl was laying on her side, curled up in a ball and wrapped with a blanket, she seemed to be shivering.
"Baby..." I whispered even though she was asleep.
I walked closer to her and kneel down on the floor, right next to her, tucking her hair behind her ear and out of her face.
Her eyes slowly fluttered open and I smiled at the sigh. So perfect even being sick.
"Hi" she whispered and touch my hand with hers. It was too hot.
"Hey you" I said and kissed her forehead. "How are you feeling" I asked and she made a face. It was very clear she was not feeling well. "I brough you some soup and more medicine" I said standing up and taking them out of the bag.
I helped her sit up and sat down besida her on the bed. I was going to give her the soup when she shook her head, opening her mouth instead, gesturing for me to feed her.
"All right, just because you're sick" I teased her and she stuck her tongue out and I laughed and her childish behaviour and fed her a spoonful.
After a few minutes she was done with her soup so I stood up again, feeling her hot forehead and skipping to the bathroom, bringing back a little towel with water that I put in her forehead.
"Now take this medicine and try to sleep some more" I said feeding her medicine with a syringe.
"I wasn't asleep before... just trying it" She rasped out and I frowned.
"You couldn't sleep?" I asked and she shook her head.
"I can't if you're not next to me" She pouted and my heart melted. It really did, I could feel it.
"Ugh stop being so cute, I can't handle all of this" I whined at her cuteness and managed to make her smile. Victory for me!
I carefully laid down next to her and held her hand, my other hand caressing her face.
"I'm sorry that you feel so bad baby" I pouted now. If I could swap myself with her I would do it in a heartbeat. Seeing her so down and in pain breaks my heart.
"I know" She said and put her hand on my face too, sticking her forehead against my chin and bringing me closer to her by holding my waist.
"I'm sorry" She whispered and I looked down at her.
"Why?" I asked confused and she smiled sweetly.
"Because you're probably going to catch it next" she said pointing at how close we were.
Yup, I'm pretty sure I'm going to. But who cares?
I shrugged and lazily smiled at her.
"So? You'll have to take care of me then" I teased and she smiled, kissing my neck and nuzzling her head there, in her favourite spot.
I heard her contentely humming and she was asleep within 5 minutes, wrapped around my embrace.
I let out a yawn and I knew I was about to follow her and fall asleep in a second. I smiled, satisfied because I knew I would still be seeing her in my dreams.
