"You left me with a son to raise, I killed myself because of you," I struggle to breathe as Kyan's grip around my throat tightens with each word coming from his mouth, at this point I'm in the middle of the room surrounded by shifter demons, all taking the shape of someone from my past. Kyan opens his mouth to speak again, but suddenly he is thrown off of me. I turn my head to see the demon squished by the door against the wall, and black goo oozes down the wall.

Like that, the other demons disappear.

"Lucifer, I was doing you a favor!" I flinched at the angry tone of Wrath as Lucifer drags him into the room, an eery calm expression on his face. Lucifer throws him against a wall causing Wrath to grunt in pain, and I notice the other sins watching in the doorway. All of them had a fearful eye on Lucifer.

Lucifer grabs Wrath's head, making him lookup. Wrath's expression changes slightly in fear before he tries to cover it up until Lucifer puts two fingers on Wraths forehead.

"Wait, Master, Master, I'm sorry, let's just talk about this." He begs Lucifer as Lucifer's fingers to glow.

"You will not leave this spot; patience will slowly consume you. You will feel the guilt of every war you caused, every murderer you tempted." Lucifer's booming voice fills the room, Wrath screams in agony. "Then, when you are on the brink of thinking you are a holy trinity, I will come back and take it from you and start the process all over again," Lucifer commands as he lets go of Wrath, who immediately grabs his head in pain.

Lucifer looks to me, and his eyes soften at every tear the slides down my face. He quickly walks to me and bends down to pick me up; I flinch in response, causing anger to go through him again as his head snaps back to Wrath.

"Did you see that? That just causes your agony to last even longer," Lucifer doesn't wait a minute more as he picks me up bridal style. I instantly cling to his chest, uncontrollable sobs leave my body as Lucifer turns. He eyes the other sins.  "Let this be a lesson to you all; I will torture you all with the seven virtues if you dare disobey me again."

"Yes, master."

"Now go back to earth, I will send for you when the meeting is rescheduled," Lucifers voice booms, and the sins quickly disappear.

My eyes close as tears continue to race down my face, my forehead pressed against Lucifer's throat, and I try to concentrate on his pulse. He walks into a room, and I feel him sit down with me in his lap. He doesn't say anything as he runs his fingers through my hair. Slowly he lets the warm glow of peace enter my body as he continues to run his fingers through my hair. I feel us rocking back in forth, and my body fills with peace and exhaustion.

I open my eyes and look up to see warm red eyes looking back down at me; he studies me softly. "I apologize," He whispers, I don't say anything both too tired and to enchanted by how close I am to Lucifer. I look at every feature. I see the slight creases on his forehead, the ridge in between his eyebrows, from too many angry, disappointed expressions. His nose is slightly crooked, but you would only notice if you were as close as I am to him right now. His eyelashes are long and extremely dark making his red eyes look more ominous, I notice specks of burnt orange in them, all the shades of orange and red that makes his eyes as dark as they are.

Sharp cheekbones complemented by a strong jawline, I notice the stubble on his face and then my eyes land on his lips I almost laugh at the irony of the devil having a cupid's bow. His lips are full and plump, and the color of the dusty pink parts of a sunset. He slightly parts them, and I look back into his eyes, before moving back down to the dimple in his chin.

I want so badly to trace it lightly, and my heart flutters at the thought of touching his face. Lucifer is magnificent in a cunning way. Just looking at him, you knew he was the king of sin, yet so desirable, no wonder it was hard for humans to resist temptation. Even some angels fell for it.
