Hello! I'm sure if you have read some of my stories, you know why this is here. I want to explain a few things before you start reading.

Firstly: what you are seeing now is a rewritten version of my old warning. I'm currently in the work of rewriting what is my most read story—as to improve upon Clan lore, fix retconned information, and develop my characters better.

Secondly: this story you have probably noticed has the mature rating. Although I will be cutting out some of the more sensitive information that are utterly useless to the plot, there still will be some sensitive topics that will stay for plot reasons (especially concerning with Mapleheart's past, and the Prophets as an organisation). This story, if you have not yet read the description, is rated mature for violence and gore, trauma, homophobia, and implications of rape. If any of those are triggering, do not continue reading.)

Thirdly: there are going to be quite a few changes from what I originally wrote for The Soothing Storm. I'm not going to spoil them here, for obvious reasons, but just know that they are likely going to be better than what was originally there. I will, however, spoil that most of the main characters from the old version will be cut. Willowshine, Oceanpelt, and Ashstorm will no longer be main characters.

To my old readers: thank you for the support from when this story first came out! The fact that this story reached over 3K reads is astounding to me! Precisely a year ago, this story was just over 1K. I hope the new version will capture your attention as the old one did.

To my newer readers: I know you all haven't been around long enough to have experienced the old version of The Soothing Storm as chapters were releasing, but you choosing this story still means a lot. This is a story I still hold a lot of passion for, even if a lot of it became outdated due to retcons and unnecessary changes/additions to the Chaos Sagas canon.
