A Taste You Can't Escape

After the three of you left the room and went back downstairs to the living room. You got some snacks and some drinks ready, as you were in the kitchen you could hear the two start talking.

Henry: Okay, Rose, what would you like to know first?

Rose: What the fuck is hybrid?

She says right off the bat making you chuckle a little at her confused tone. Henry chuckling in response as well.

Henry: Well, a hybrid is something that is a cross between vampire and human. Also a little hit stronger than a regular vampire.

Y/N: Wait, if that's the case then why didn't the hybrids just set themselves free from being held captive?

Henry: Fear.

He says simply.

Henry: Hybrids have the same life span of a vampire, but they have the feelings and the senses of a human, this also makes them slightly more vulnerable to unexpected and unnatural deaths, that's about the only way a hybrid can die unless a vampire sucks the life out of them.

Rose looks at him in disbelief.

Henry: It's a hard concept to grasp.

Rose: No, I understand. Just hard to believe such a creature exists.

Henry: What else do you want to know?

Rose: The whole going feral thing, what's that about?

Henry: Going feral, as I said earlier it's a vampire's last resort to surviving. It doesn't happen as often as you'd think. Vampires have been born to be cold hard killers, to kill with no remorse or second thought, but when it does happen it may be a last attempt to try and live but in the end, they wind up dying anyways.

Rose: Why though?

Henry: I'm not entirely sure about that. I still need to do more research.

Rose: So, when a vampire goes feral as a last resort to survive, they get their fill but end up dying shortly after?

Henry: Yeah, it's confusing even for me.

Rose: So why would Y/N stay like that once she reaches full-on feral?

Henry: It's the breed she is. One of the rarest and most extraordinary.

Rose: So there are different breeds?

Henry: Yeah, the breeds are determined by the vampiric hierarchy. The lowest breed is obviously on the bottom of the hierarchy, and they get stronger and rarer the more you go up.

Rose: What hierarchy is Y/N?

Henry: Second to the top.

Y/N: Who's at the top?

Henry: No idea. No one has any idea, there's been hunches and some evidence that there is a stronger breed of vampire that's how the tier came to be.

Y/N: Hm, must be really rare then...

Henry: Legendary actually. I was told by my parents some 10,000 years ago was the first and the last vampire that was in that tier. There's been nothing more since than.

Rose: 10,000 years ago?

She says in disbelief.

Rose: Isn't there a possibility they're still alive then?

Henry: Yes there's a possibility but no one knows where they could've gone.

Y/N: Rose, do you think the library would have something on it?

Rose: Doubt it.

Henry: Worth a look I suppose.

Y/N: Yeah. Wait, Rose?

Rose: Hm?

Y/N: Our history teacher?

Rose: Which one and what about them?

Y/N: The one I sense something is off and different about him compared to the other teachers.

Rose: Oh shit... yeah we can talk to him.

Henry: Is the school still open?

Y/N: Not the front door, there's another entrance though, and the teacher we need is still there.

Henry: Well what are we waiting for?
