A Taste You Can't Escape

You all entered the dark tunnel with nothing but your phones to light up the path. The three of you were walking side by side until Rose stopped in her tracks and went cold.

-Rose POV-

The light from my phone hit a shadow on the floor and I turned towards it out of pure curiosity and walk over to get a better look at a dried pool of deep crimson that stained the ground and I choke back a whimper before finding my voice again.

Rose: Uhm... Henry, Y/N?

I hear the shuffle of footsteps full of worry a voice chimes in.

Y/N: What's wrong?

Rose: Look.

-Out of Rose POV-

You and Henry rush over to their frightful friend. They followed to where she was pointing they were lost in confusion until an unfamiliar voice echoed through the corridor. Not unfamiliar to all though, Henry knew who they were.

Henry: Shit. C'mon Y/N before we have a repeat of you almost losing consciousness again.

Y/N: Wha-

Henry jerked her hand and miraculously there was an empty cubby just off to the side of where they were.

Henry: Rose, stay hidden but keep watch and tell us when it's clear.

Rose nods with determination as Henry and you disappear into thin air as if neither of you was there, to begin with.

???: Thank you for your input, sir. We'll refrain from any harm to you or your family as long as you help us find her and Henry.

You freeze and you immediately knew they were talking about you and Henry. Henry, on the other hand, seemed unbothered and if anything his body heat seemed to have risen slightly only then did you realized he was slightly blushing and when you figured out how close the two of you were you began blushing too but it didn't stop you from wrapping your arms around his shoulders and burying your head into his chest. His scent and warmth encasing you in total security. He wraps his arms around you and pulls you closer to him causing you to look up at him, his eyes seemed to have been vibrating with pure love and passion even in the dark they were shining for you, upon seeing this you part your lips slightly and without thinking your eyes briefly glance down to his lips. It's no doubt there is a high attraction between the two of you your pride just gets in the way of admitting it yourself.

When Henry sees your mouth slightly open he takes the opportunity to kiss you, deep and passionately. You kiss him in return with your own hunger and passion when you pull away he just smirks before leaning forward and say in a low husky purr.

Henry: We'll continue this later.

As if he was psychic Rose comes over into the entrance of the cubby you and he were hiding in.

Rose: They're gone.

Henry: Thank you.

The three of you proceed down the tunnel in silence until Rose breaks it.

Rose: What do you think that blood puddle was from?

Henry: Judging by the fact some of the vampire rebels were down here and going by the stench of old blood and musk of sweat and mold, I'm assuming this is one of the many Vampire "prisons" they created around the world.

Y/N: How long have they been around to have tunnels like this everywhere in the world?

Henry: The vampire rebels have been on the planet ever since the first vampire became known.
