The Space Between You And Me

The blue rose

Waking up the next morning it felt weird like I was being watched. I blinked my eyes severely to adjust to the light and I spotted the rose from last night, didn't put much thought to it but it was weird like I had a connection to it or there was something I did not know about.

I walked into my shower and took a five minute cold shower and had my black basketball ball shorts on with a grey hood and Adidas snickers.
I decided  to skip breakfast and head to class early to see if I had missed any lessons or assignments but first I had to make sure that Harrison was up for school.

The first bell had just rung and I was heading to my first class after finishing the calculus homework that was due Tuesday.

I saw Nicole over by her locker so I walked over to say hi, she looked bored for some time I had noticed that Brittney looked at her quite often with a sore look.
I didn't think much of it because I though that it was basic they like the same guy and the jealousy stuff but I was starting to think that there was more to the story

It was the last period to lunch and I was in the washrooms trying my best to ignore all the sobs of some girls crying coz of a boy. Yuck!!  The feeling even made me puke it was so tense. Her friend were all over her and were helping her put her make up back on and you could think it was a cry fest in there, when I couldn't hold my laughter anymore I walked out releasing a huge laugh almost seating on the floor then Nicole also walked out laughing and I just couldn't stop myself from laughing even harder. We walked to class together still laughing at how ridiculous they looked.

Over lunch I was busy telling Harrison of what had happened and he was laughing his ass off and then I realised  Brittney walking up to our table.
Every school has that one annoying bitch who is always into other peoples business and is bothered by the slightest of things well for our school Brittney Spears was the one famous for all her pride but every time she strikes it always comes back to her.

She walked to our table from the back and Harrison had not seen her but he was still laughing his ass off and she just shoved my food on me and stared at Harrison with a flirty look.
"What the fuck Brittney," Harrison asks once he looks at me and sees my oh no she didn't look he knows best to know that no-one comes between me and my food

I just stand up and look at her twice I am trying my best not to get into any fights in this school and she is not making it easy.
I slowly rise up and get the food off my clothes and look down at my clenched fists and let out a sigh that's when I realized that the whole hall was dead silent, I took a deep breathe deciding not to make a scene I took a step forward followed by another and at the Conner of my eye I saw how Harrison was shocked at how well I took that. I was so determined to walk away when Brittney shouted, "I knew you were  such a wuss to do anything"and that's when my last fuse blew.
I stopped and looked around looked at the Jacobs at their table saw Jace minding his own business Nicole looked disgusted and Hunters fists were turned into balls then I turned around to see Harrison who was confronting Brittney, then I looked at her and said, "run bitch"but she didn't so it was her fault I jumped onto her and pounded her black and blue till I heard something snap and blood gashed out and she was unconscious then I stood up and looked Harrison in the eye and told him, "I NEVER DISAPPOINT"and walked out to the hall way to tell the principal what I did like the good child I was. I saw Hunter smirk on my way out and Nicole could not stop laughing.

I walked into the principal's office and unintentionally  disrupted his meeting with a parent it was no big deal because he in fact was bored from all the complaints she was making.
I explained what was happening and he saw it best to let it slide not because he knew who I was but because he also enjoyed seeing Brittney hurt but he did have to give me detention for a week no biggie.

I was out off the principal's office and we were laughing at how she was shocked at my reflex I was now walking towards my last class and everyone was weirdly looking at me in shock but I don't care.

In class I take my seat and no one dares to look at me and as much as I am enjoying this I hate having the bad girl vibe. Harrison texts me that she's OK but severely injured I did have have to take care of her hospital bill but I didn't mind.

After class I headed for detention taking the back seat.
I was asleep for sometime but woke up when I felt something on me. I found it to be a blue rose and a card it was weird because it was not the first one and I had a feeling it will not be the last. The card read;

"Hi beautiful ,
Today's fight was great your punch was really good, I like that about you,..... hope to see you around. "

I know it was weird coz it was only I and a sleeping  teacher in the room. I thought it was maybe a secret crush or something so didn't really put much thought to it.
My detention was over and I was heading to my house I passed though the school field and watched the schools basketball team in the court. They were running around and I spotted a few people I knew Harrison was there and his buddy Neel from history class. I sat on the bleachers and watched till one guy came over and stood in front of me.

"Hi"he says
"Wanna join the team"he adds
First am shocked, second am pised but only because Harrison is not the one who called me over but I just shugged it away.
"Sure which side" I said and now noticed his blue eyes were. He was quite confident coming up to me after the incident after lunch.

I was now on the court and the guys were deciding on which team I  was to join. I stood there amazed at how much they agreed to disagree. In a while they said I would join the red squad that was opposite to Harrison's team but on Hunters team who I had not noticed before. I reached to the bleachers and took out my hood resting it on a chair to be left with my black sports bra. I turned around to come into all the guys staring it was weird but I didn't over think it. They were just there looking at me like some freak ,was I supposed to play with my hood on.

"You should take pictures they last longer"I shouted returning some of them back to reality. "Let's play some ball losers"I said and we started playing

After about an hour and a half of awesome basketball our team won the game and am sure Harrison would not hear the last of it.
The boys and I went to have some food and I sat with Harrison, Neel and the guy from earlier and Jack and Mike who were on my team during the game.
We were all talking of how last nights game was in the premier league and suddenly my eyes wavered towards Hunter and I could see his beautiful green eyes with the jade speck that makes his eyes shine, the way he flexed when he caught me looking at him and how he covered it up by his smirk  and then the cute waiter thought that he was smirking at her and begun to flirt with him it was quite funny and still painful to watch the only reason I didn't know was why.

After all the eating the laughing and the talking I was quite worn out so off to bed and even after that Harrison was still up at midnight talking to Nicole. Apparently he kinda had a thing for her and was not sure she felt the same.
Once I was already cuddled up in bed I came to realise that I had changed I just couldn't know how I had changed.
I didn't put that much thought to it but it felt like I had changed but it felt new like it was for the better and it was definitely nothing like I had felt before.
