Moving in

In the early morning of a Saturday you hear the roaring engines of trucks passing by in the streets of your town, you stretch and get up out of bed with rays of sunlight entering your room through the window. As you look outside you see what used to be the small town at the foot of mount Ebott, but ever since the monsters from the underground broke free new houses has started appearing on the outskirts near the lake. Groggily putting on some clothes you carelessly grabbed out of your closet and start heading to the kitchen. "I wonder what I should do today..." you mumble to yourself as you get yourself a bowl of cornflakes and flop down on the couch, turning on the tv as you eat.

"monsters have started moving to the surface after the construction of the newly built houses has finished" the news reporter says: "we wonder how this relationship between monsters and humans will turn out as the majority is still adjusting to the newcomers. Ambassador Frisk states that we should not be feared and instead welcome the monsters". You see the frankly very young child on screen with the news reporter continue to babble on about the whole thing and can't help but not care a whole lot about it, but some part of you is still all too curious to see these monsters in your town.

Locking your front door you set out to take a walk with your wallet, coat, keys and not much else hoping something magically would give you something to do.
Ever since you moved out to live on your own, there's not much to keep yourself occupied in the middle of summer vacation. wandering aimlessly though the town with your hands in the pockets of your jacket, thinking about everything and anything.

Monsters have been wandering around town and getting used to the life we call normal as humans for a few months now. Having seen them in shops and whatnot got you pretty used to them, although still raising an eyebrow ever so often seeing how many different kinds there are. Non are exactly the same like the other and I guess humans have never liked change, even now.

Monsters are passing by more and more frequently when the road comes to an abrupt end, taken out of you train of thought you realize you've unintentionally walked towards the edge of town to a little dirt path leading up towards mt. Ebott.

With shrug and a careless mind you start following the path past a few doggos that just came from that direction. It seems this path has been walked by many monsters as the footprints are varied and the plants have been stripped back to create more space on the sides.

It makes you wonder how many monsters lived below the green covered mountain that always has been a part of your life. It's been a while since the monsters came, but it's common knowledge that they apparently we're trapped by humans that had magic powers. "Yeah right" you mutter to yourself as the trees start to block the sunlight with their leaves.

Walking for another 5 minutes debating to take off your shoe to remove the tiny rock that somehow made it in or to just live with it. But you came to a halt when the leaves above you disappeared and the sun breaks through to shine open an entrance into the mountain, quite a big entrance too. To the exact opposite side of the path leading in is a stunning view you forgot about existed. You used to go here all the time but that hole in the wall was never there, just a steep cliff up and nothing else. Spiking your sense of adventure and curiosity once again you walk in with the natural light fading away behind you as the child inside walks on through the underground. Coming across this city colored in gray or the calming blue rivers in magical story like caves.

Weird to imagine this is a place these monsters called home for god knows how long and suddenly able to go above ground.

slowly making your way through it all you end up in a snowy town with little houses and pine trees. Just like the rest of the underground it seems like everyone already moved to the surface, until you notice the lights inside one of the buildings are still on. Slowly coming closer you see it's some sort of restaurant or bar with a big sign in front saying: "grillby's".
