I waited for Richie on my front doorstep. I had to tell him something but I was terrified! I..I loved him.
"Eddie Spaghetti!" said a familiar voice. I looked up to see my favorite trash mouth. My heart dropped when I realized what I was doing.
I was going to tell him...
years of bottled up emotions and I was finally going to tell him I loved him, this could ruin everything, I started to panic and reached for my aspirator after a few puffs I finally was able to greet him.
"Hey Richie," I said with a fake smile. He smiled back at me. I knew he could tell my smile was fake, he could always tell, he could tell when I was upset or happy or angry or confused, yet he never noticed my love.
I loved his smile and also his curly messy hair with his huge glasses that made his eyes big. "Richie I have something to tell you," I said in a shy voice.
"What's wrong Eds" Said Richie.
"First Off DON'T call me eds and second I...I."
"Spit it out Eds" Said Richie. As I tried to finish my sentence I was interrupted by Richie's girlfriend Olivia.
"Richie, come on we're gonna be late" she said in her stupid whiny tone.
"Sorry Eds can we talk later" Richie said genuinely wanting to hear what i had to say.
"Don't call me that and yeah" I shouted, as Olivia dragged him off away from me. He gave me a smile before he was out of sight. I smiled back at him trying to hold back the tears, but still a solitary tear rolled down my cheek burning into my soul.
