Ein's P.O.V

The bell ran, signaling the end of the school day, all the students were now rushing to get out and to go home.
I stood up and got the few things I had together, I needed to run by my locker first, so I didn't join the rushing teens.
I was walking to the metal box like thing, when I heard a "Ein! Wait up!"
I turned around to see who had called me, it was Kai.

As he got closer, I couldn't help but give him a smile. Something about him always made me happy...
Anyways!

"What's up?" I asked, the now out of breath Teen. He put up a hand, saying he needed a second to catch his breath. I nodded and stepped up to my locker, which I had just gotten to when he caught up.

"Whew, you sure do know how to make someone run after you. Jeez" he said, but was smiling.

"Heh, well what can I say? I'm not slow" I said. I put in the code and opened it up, I was just gonna get out my backpack and a few things for the homework tonight.

"Yeah yeah, I'm slow. Anyways, I wanted to know if you wanted to come over this weekend?" He asked, he set his hands on his hips and was still breathing a little heavy, he looked kinda tired.

I thought for a second.
"What did you have in mind?" I asked.
I closed my locker and turned to face him, a few books in my arms.
"Well, I was gonna have a new school year party, er, thingy. I just wanted to invite you!" He said.

A party.... Ummm......
The few, and I mean very few party's I have been to, I haven't really enjoyed... But, if its a small one, then I guess its okay.

"Um, s-sure! Would it be okay if I asked Aph to come with me?" I asked the orange hair cat.
I probably shouldn't be calling him
Cat in my head... Heh...

"Who's Aph?" He looked confused.
We both started to walked out of the school as I explained.
"Aphmau is my Sister, she just tends to be more 'popular' then me, so I don't always see her in school" I said.

"Oh, well then sure! She can come, just make sure to bring some sorta snack" he said. I nodded and smiled, thne turned to the way I walk home.

"Bye Ein! See you tomorrow!"

"Yeah! See you then!" I said with a wave.

I walked down the gray sidewalk, kinda counting the number of steps I could take within one block of the concrete squares. It was around 2-3 steps. I thought about the party, Kai didn't say when it was, I would have to ask him tomorrow, but it sounded like it would be fun.

If it wasn't too big of a party, that is.
Wait, what if it is?! Oh god what have I done?! Its all over now!
Now I have to go to a social thingy and talk to people and not be weird!
Ugh! I hate people...

Eventully I got home and walked up to my room. I flopped on the bed, face down into my pillow and let out a sigh. I just kinda layed there, thinking about life. I was now happy, I had a few friends, great family finally...
I had a nice life, there wasn't anything actively bad, the parent I had now, Mom, was loving and supportive.
My sister was kind and sweet, but don't get on her bad side, heh.

I rolled over and looked up at my ceiling, I was happy.

I sat up after a minute or two and got off my bed. I got some normal clothes and changed. After, I stepped out of my room, and went over to Aph's.
Her door was a light purple and covered with stickers, she kinda had a problem...

I gave a light knock on her door and waited, "Come in!" She yelled, but it was muffled by the door.
I opened it slowly peaking in, she was laying on her bed, covered in her fluffy blanket Mom got her and a couple of pillows.

"H-Hey, just needed to ask you something" I said.

She looked up from her phone and patted the open spot next to her.
I walked over to her purple bed and sat down, she got up and sat across from me. "What's up lil'bro?" She asked.

I chuckled "I'm not that much younger then you Aph..." I said, trying to keep a straight face, but I ended up smiling. What can I say? I'm a smile-y person.

She went on to explain the reasons she should call me Little brother, and it ended with her saying she needed a corgi or something, I don't know, its Aphmau!

"Anyways, what did you need?" She asked after her long rant.

"I was gonna ask if you wanted to go to a party that Kai was having this weekend?" I asked her. She thought for a moment, "um yeah! If Mom says it okay!" She said.

"Thanks, I really didn't want to go to this thing alone..." I told her.
She knew I didn't really 'socialise' very well.

After some talking about how she hung out with some Laurence guy and some, uh, shadow knights, stupid name if you ask me, she looked like a light bulb turn on in her head.
"Hey... Is this Kai, who invited you, the same one who totally isn't my future brother-in-law?" She asked, giving me a look.

I felt my face get hot, "N-no! Well, I g-guess technically, t-they are the s-same person, But! He's not you, er, my f-future, y-know!" I said, stuttering.
She wiggled her eyebrows and 'mmhmm' me. I hated when she did this....

"R-Realy! He's just some guy at school!"

She was not buying it, she started to sing Can you feel the love tonight, while waving her hands the air.
I grabed a pillow and hid my face in it, "Appphhh! Nooooo!" I said, muffled by the pillow.

"Caaan yoou feeeeellll the Lovvvveee Tonight!~" she kept going.

"Aphmmmauuu!" I tried to stop her, but she just kept singing.

I gave up and fell backwards, half laying down, still hiding in the pillow.
She stoped, finally, and looked at me, as if she already planned everything about my wedding.

I sighed, there was no way I was gonna win this....

"Okay... Maybe, Just maybe! I may... Have a small, tiny... Crush on Kai...."

She got stars in her eyes and started to 'fangirl'. She was squealing her head off when Mom suddenly opened the door. She looked at the both of us.

"What in the world Mija?" She asked.

I looked at Aph, bugging her to not tell Mom. "Uh, nothing! I just saw, uh, a spider, yeah!" She said.

Whew...

Mom didn't believe it, but left us, probably think 'where did I go wrong?'.

I watched as she left, and then looked back to Aph, we both started laughing until our stumick's hurt.
"That was amazing!" I said between laughs.

I looked at Aphmau and smiled.
I am truly happy....
