Ruby Rose in Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins

Chapter 4

The following day,  Ruby, Shaggy, and Scooby were at the bus stop. Scooby was disguised as another student. Of course, Ruby has a bit of a doubt this will work since Scooby's snout is physically constructed the way it is.

"I still don't think this will work, Shaggy." Ruby said

"Like, trust me, it'll work." Shaggy said, reassuringly

The bus then pulled up to the bus stop and the driver opened the door, seeming surprised that  Shaggy and Ruby actually were on time this time. The three then climbed onto the bus. 

"RNice bus." Scooby told the driver as he closed the door behind the three

"I told you this would work." Shaggy said as he managed to get past Ben

Instead of tripping Shaggy this time, Ben sticks his foot out and trips Ruby who falls on her face but gets up seconds later.

"What are you, five??" Fred said to Ben

"What are you, the fun police?" Ben responded

Scooby growled at Ben before sitting back in the back seat with Shaggy and  Ruby and started muttering to himself.

"I know we didn't have time for breakfast, you two...." Shaggy started as neither him or Ruby noticed Scooby crawling under the seat towards Ben's feet

"Wanna split it into three?" Ruby finished. "Scooby?"

Meanwhile, Scooby snuck under the seats up to Ben's feet and quietly chuckled.

"I just don't get what's so fun about doing that to somebody." Fred stated, since he was actually trying to defend Shaggy from all the bullying he's been going through

"Dude, if you don't know-Ow!!" Ben started as he felt something bite his foot and jumped, hitting the ceiling of the bus

Ben then looked down, and pulled Scooby out from under the seat ad said, "What are you doing down there, huh?"

"Scooby, no!" Shaggys aid as he tried to get past Ben

"That's enough!" Fred said as Ben was about to deck Scooby in the face, and shoved him away not noticing he shoved Ben right onto Velma's science project, breaking it. "Bullying people is not-" he tried to add before Ben shoved him into the seat next to Daphne startling her to where she ended up tossing her play script pages

A fight started breaking out. Most of the students, though, were able to not get involved. Once the people fighting narrowed down, and stopped, the bus driver accidentally crashed into a flag pole and it fell down onto the windshield of Vice Principal  Grimes' new car. Naturally, he wasn't very happy about this.

Vice Principal Grimes walked to the bus, knocked on the door, and stepped in once the doors were opened and asked, "WHO is responsible for this?!?"

Everyone pointed to the back and all seemed to be pointing at Fred, Velma, Daphne, Shaggy, Scooby, and Ruby.

LATER IN THE SCHOOL LIBRARY

Fred, Daphne, Velma, Ruby, and Shaggy had gotten detention while Scooby was chained to a tree outside. 

"Six weeks in detention? But Vice Principal Grimes, I was merely a victim of circumstance." Daphne said

"So was I."  Ruby stated

"And I was only trying to help." Fred said

"Oh, save it!" Grimes said. "Consider yourselves lucky i'm not suing your parents for damages. Especially your father, Mrs. Rose."

"Hey, I was just wondering, are snacks provided for us here or do we have to bring our own stuff?" Shaggy asked

Vice Principle Grimes glared at him before saying, "You will spend two hours in this room everyday for two weeks starting at 3:00 sharp. Got it?"
