It has been suprisingly long since I last made a design. Whoops. You guys must've wondered whether I'm still alive.
The reason I'm back from the dead is simle, I'm currently busy working on another portfolio focussed on drawings to hopefully start studying illustration next school year.
However, I've been meaning to make a few designs in the meantime, and @sereneur gave the right inspiration and motivation by hosting a designing contest. So yeah, I had to join despite the fact it was typography based.
I haven't really deepen myself in typography based covers. Wish I did, but i'm not 100% comfortable in the process and that's also what's keeping my from diving.
While browsing through Fonts Galore 2 to a) Download some new fonts I forgot to download and b) select fonts I adore and thus suited to use for the contest (I didn't even get the chance to browse through Fonts Galore 1...) I really got the inspiration. I narrowed my selection down to three, but ended selecting a playful font called Bob.
Man, I love Bob. (But I do love Paraf as well as well as many other fonts!). I picked Bob for one simple reason actually. It was the only font that gave me an idea to create a cover for. You see, Bob is this name for very normal average guy. It was the perfect material to do something stupid with it.
Realise here, that I still have a job, need to get 20 things for my art portfolio & am a procrastinator. My only spare time I had were in the evenings, but I didn't do shit in the evenings. So at first I thought I missed the deadline, which I didn't.
I slapped this together in like, two hours, maybe less. I must admit I found the resources supringly fast! Really saved some of my time and also partly why it didn't take too long. But I am convinced it had a bit more potential if I didn't rush it and didn't have so many deadlines.

I must admit I actually kinda like it tho. Managed to get the vibe of this goofy story, about a guy named Bob. (Also, again, gives me vibes of @goldenways's covers. Guess I like your vector covers a bit too much)
The umbrella guy and texture are from pixabay, all the other pictures used from freepik. (the little clouds were drawn by me ages ago for another cover).
