Note: This cover is made as an exam for @goldenways cover school. Also, the collours look is better on a computer device. On phone it is darker and more vibrant.

You know that moment when you're inspired to art, and then you art, and art says: "Nope."

That was kinda the mood when I made this piece. In my head I knew what I wanted, but when putting everything together it didn't match with what I had in thought and made me question wether I actually knew what I wanted. I tried multiple things (especially in the lower half) and eventhough I like it, am I not 100% sure about it.

I mean look at the globe, it isn't even round at the top anymore! *cries*

The fortune teller itself are already two different pictures. The girl in the hood is from Deviantart by boredlamb-stock. The hands and globe are found on google.

To make it a little less plain, I added some "glitter"

But at first I thought it too plain anyway (especially the lower half), so I added a frame

Two frames, in fact, because I didn't know which one to use.

Kinda a waste of time, because I like the one without better anyway

Fun fact: It is the story in which my character Zagreus is from (The one I made a graphic of).

I'm in love with the story idea, but I have to write out the plot first. That why this premade is open, because by the time I'll start writing, some aspects of the cover might be wrong or should be added.

The title, Miss Fortune, has a double meaning. Miss Fortune relates to the fortune teller, the girl in the upper half of the cover and an important character in the story. But it also relates to the word miss fortune, as in bad luck.

Even the dutch title I came up with, 'Waar zegster' relates to the dutch word Waarzegster which is the dutch translation to fortune teller, but also to where (Waar = where) which is an aspect of the story, since the main character is involved in a prophecy and gets send on quest but has no idea where to go.

I'm really excited to start writing, but maybe I should finish X & Y first along with HWJEJA and 'Er Waren Eens' (which still needs a proper plot before I start writing yet the first chapter is published anyway...)

Who knows, maybe next year it'll pop up :3
