The day had gone so quickly, it was all over, Xristi and I were cautiously waiting for the presentations to start. We could hear the music dimming which we knew that meant that they were going to start.
First was the introductory class which Daniel and Melissa were in Daniel got second place and Melissa got first. They both came out holding hands with bug smiles on their faces with ribbons around their necks.
Next it was the preliminary class, this was Xristi and I's class. We were holding each others hands, trembling. The judges called out "fourth place we have...... Gaby Buttler from Collie! The crowd clapped, "third place we have...... Christina Jones from Swan Valley!" The crowd clapped again, "We have a tie breaker for first place! Between Xristi Schofield and Lucy Heslop from Brigadoon!" The crowd stood up and cheered!
We couldn't believe it, we were so excited we were hoping that this would happen because we would feel bad for the other person if one of us got a blue ribbon and the other didnt.
