Shrek walked into his swamp when he realised.
He was lonely.
Shrek lived far away from the living world. His penguin the only thing that's keeping him alive.
'Life is hard' he muttered against his penguin called Pingu. Pingu replied simply with his wise words 'Noot Noot.' Shrek was impressed his best friend was always there to get him in a good mood.
