I couldn't like her. Could I? Is she even gay? All these question were in my head. My mind kept saying I can't have her, but my heart said to kiss her. To kiss those pink full lips that when she spoke I would drool with every word.
" hello, earth to lindsay. Are you paying attention to what I'm saying?" when I focus back to reality we were at my locker. I saw Karen and Mary leaning against the lockers next to me. Karen was closer to me and she was looking at me with a smile. One of her eyebrows was raised up. I couldn't help but laugh.
" umm not really. Sorry what were you saying?"
" I was asking how your summer was so far?" Mary said. Mary was my best friend. She was shorter than me she was 5'9. She was athletic also. She played soccer and fencing. Her and I are so close that people said we were attached by the hip. It was hard for us to see each during the summer because she played soccer and it took up her time. In the winter I played basketball and she did fencing. She was a great fencer I would watch her on the weekend for her match. She knew my secrets and I knew hers.
" it was great. I hung out with the family at the beach mostly on the weekends and we went to Virginia during August. The rest of the summer I was with Justin." I said while getting my books for my morning classes. I closed my locker and then we walked the halls. Mary was on my right and Karen on my left. We walked into the cafeteria to sit with the rest of my friends. We still had fifteen minutes until our first class started. Karen sat in front of me and Mary sat next to me. On my left was katya then Joanna. Next to Karen was our friend Jeremy and Kirsten.
" hey girl. What's up?" katya was talking to me. She was 5'4. Kind of hour shaped glass. She had brown hair with blond highlights. She had light brown eyes. Her nationality was a mix of Portuguese and Cuban. Me and her were Hispanic and Portuguese.
" nada. How about you? How was your summer?"
" it was cool. I went to Europe with the family. I heard you got a new boo." she said when she said boo I heard Karen choking on her gum.
" Karen are you alright?" Joanna asked.
" Yep I'm fine." she put on a fake smile. I could tell that she was lying.
"always yep I got a new boo. He's a junior here. He's on varsity football. I think he'll make your list." I winked at katya. That's when I saw Justin walk into the cafeteria with his buds. I got up and walk over to him. I saw my friends looking at me, espically Karen. I gave him a tap on the shoulders. He turned around and looked at me with a smile.
" hey babe, meet the guys. You've meet ennis before. Then there's mike, Shane, Brian and guys this is my girlfriend Lindsay." he smiled back a me. He leaned down and kissed me. I didn't pull back but I opened on of my eyes to look at my friends the smiling at me but except Karen. She had look of sadness in her eyes. By the time I pulled back from the kiss I saw her walking out of the cafeteria. Why was she sad to see me kiss my boyfriend? I'm going to ask her when we have cooking together. Which is the second period of the day. I just hope she isn't mad at me.
" ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS MUST REPORT TO THERE HOMEROOMS TO RECIEVE THEIR LOCKER COMBINATION AND CLASS SCEDULES. THANK YOU AND WELCOME BACK." said Principal Mckinney.
" ugh. I don't want to go to homeroom. It's so boring." I said hugging Justin.
" do u want to skip we can hang out in the library." he smiled down at me while putting his arm on my shoulders.
" yea sure. Let me just go get my bag. Be right back." I walk over to my friends who were all standing now and looking at me. I looked at katya.
"So does he make your list?" she nodded at my question. I just laughed.
" girl he is so fine."
" haha I know. Well I see you guys later. Hey Joanna do you know why Karen left a few minutes ago?"
"I don't know she just said that she'll see us later. She looked pretty upset but I don't know why."
" OK. Thanks. I'll see ya at lunch."
" KK." Joanna left with Jeremey. Mary was waiting for me to walk with her to homeroom but I told her that I was ditching and hanging with Justin in the library.
" ok but make sure you wear protection. Haha I see you during french. Luv ya Lindsay." she walk out of the cafeteria by herself. Mary would alway make sex jokes about my love life. It's funny though I would remind her that at least I've got a boyfriend and that she is still single. Me and Justin never even had sex together and I to keep it that way. I still want to keep my virginity. So, after I grabbed my backpack Justin was standing by the door. We interwined our hands together and walk to the library. I got some ugly stares from some girls and some winks from guys. These girls are so jealous that I had the hottest guy in school as my boyfriend. Once we got to the library we walked in and went to the farthest book shelf in the corner. We called this corner make-out corner cause kids would ditch class with their lover and would come to this corner to do whatever they wanted. I set down my backpack on the floor and Justin did the same. He came closer to me that I was against the wall. He leaned closer to the point where our lips met. He kiss me so softly then it got more intense with every minute passing by. 'He was such a great kisser' was the only thing I thought. Then to ruin the moment the bell rang. He pulled away from me looking me dead in the eyes.
" Linsday Gold... I'm in love with you." he said. He said it as if he was sure of it. He was dead serious.
