Jayeon was never really popular. She always kept to herself, never really talking to many people. She just went to school to learn, going home to be alone. But she had a major secret.

Chanyeol, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. Popular, with every girl wanting him and every guy wanting to be like him. He was you typical playboy. But he had a major secret.

Jayeon went to school one day, thinking it would be a normal day. She went to her first period class, sitting all the way in the back and keeping her eyes down, like every other day. This day was different though.

"Hey, your name is Jayeon right?" It was Kai. The school's second most popular guy. She struggled to find the words to say, simply nodding in the end, "you should sit with me at lunch today." He didn't wait for an answer, turning back to the board with a satisfied smirk on his face. Jayeon could do nothing but sit there, shocked.

By lunch time, Jayeon was excited and nervous. I mean, the second hottest guy in school asked her to sit with him. She looked around the cafeteria, spotting Kai and rushing over to him.

"Oh hi Jayeon." He patted the seat next to him, motioning for her to sit down. She did shyly. She opened her mouth to say something, when she felt cold liquid being poured onto her head. Next she felt someone pushed her off the seat, and onto the ground.

When she looked up at Kai, he was laughing.

"You nerd. You actually thought I wanted to have lunch with you. You're pathetic." She felt tears well in her eyes, "I hope you like banana milk."

Suddenly, she felt two arms wrap around her sides and pull her up. A hand pushed her face into whoever's chest it was.

"Cut it out Kai. What did she ever do to you?" Kai stopped laughing, looking at Chanyeol seriously.

"Come on man, I was just having some fun. It wasn't even my idea."

"Then who's was it huh?" Chanyeol's voice raised. Before Kai could answer, Chanyeol huffed, walking away, pulling Jayeon with him.

"I'm sorry." He stopped just outside the lunchroom, sitting her down on the counter in the boys bathroom and turning the sink on.

"You didn't deserve that. Kai is a dick." He wet a paper towel and started cleaning her face and hair. She just looked at him in shock.

"Thanks." She whispered quietly. He smiled and pinched her cheek.

"Listen, I know you probably like Kai or something, but you deserve so much better than him. Don't stoop so low as to like a douche bag like him. " She shook her head.

"I never liked him. I just wanted some friends to sit by at lunch."

"Well." He lifted her up and set her down on the floor easily, "now you have me."

He made a move to walk away but stopped, "oh, something you should know first. I've always had a thing for quiet girls." He winked, walking away and leaving Jayeon alone in the boys bathroom, smiling like an idiot to herself.
