Chapter 14 : Losing You

We got to the hospital, and I saw Roman's hands covered in blood and I asked what was going on while crying.

"Roman where is my baby??, why is there blood on your hands??, what happened to Tanikka, no don't tell me, miss Olivia what happened????" I kept on crying in tears. Miss Olivia, but a piece of her blonde hair behind her ear and her blue eyes looked at me with so much pity.

" No don't think that, we didn't know that she ate a bone, we only noticed that she was  choking because we saw blood come out of her mouth and she wasn't moving so we don't know if she is still alive or not. I'm so so so sorry." Miss Olivia kept on comforting me till the doctor came and sat down.

" Miss Parks, I'm sorry but she is gone we tried to save her but she wasn't going to live for long with with a cut open throat and we tried repairing it but she was still young so her bones were still soft. We tried all we could. I'm sorry" the doctor said and she left

I remained ice cold and stone still. Didn't move a limb or even blinked for the fact I lost my baby. I had so many plans for her, take her to Germ
any once I'm working and spoiling her, giving her the best of love cause she was my Pilar of strength but  now she is gone. She is in heaven with God. Roman washed his hand and came to comfort me. They all took me home and I went to my room, but Roman came.

"You know, I was accepted, I'm heading to Germany within the next two months. I wanted to share it with everyone fairly cause I just met Cole but no, she..... She...... She's gone and she is not coming back. I have to arrange the funeral." I sobbed and Roman comforted me. I fell to the floor and cried. I gathered all Tanikka belongings and cried till my eyes became swallen. I sang her favorite lalaby

" Sleep baby sleep
Don't you cry
Mama is going to
Sing you a lalaby
Till your tears dry
And we will... Play
I... I... I.. Will make you
Your vanilla cake."

It took some time arrange the funeral. We held the funeral and buried her but she will always remain in my heart.

Roman came to me and hugged me

" Shanya, we can't stay in this relationship, I... I know we just lost Tanikka but it's over but just know that I'll always be here for you."

I stood still and asked why?

"I.... I am with someone else and the person is a guy look I cannot stop my affection for guys" He said

I left with Miss Olivia and Cole and I left Roman stood there. Well if he told me sooner, then it wasn't going to hurt. Miss Olivia took me  for therapy
And things went accordingly

                            One month later

After her funeral, I worked hard to make sure that I got extra money for my clothes and my new suitcases as I was going to leave next month. I heard in the celebrity news headlines that a group called SIXTEEN were on top of the billboard charts and I knew that Cole was there in the group as Chan Lee but I was so proud he already made it to the fame world and I wished him so much luck. Till I got a call from Miss Olivia

"Come over to my place like now!!"

"Why?"

"I have been accepted for a job in Indonesia to teach English so I'm hosting a ferewell party"

"Wow ok I'll be there, give me 20 minutes till I finish my shift." I dropped the phone and worked till I finished my final shift before I resigned. Once I was done, I submitted my forms and went to Miss Olivia's place. We did have a party but it couldn't hold for long cause she still had to prepare herself so we gave her gifts and she hugged us all but I hugged her tightly because she was always there for me From schoolwork to rape case from that to helping me take care of Tanikka and from burying Tanikka till this very day. She deserved all the happiness in the world for being such a good person and I knew that she wasn't going to come back anytime soon because from Indonesia, she will head to China so I was very happy for her even more cause she got to live her dream.
