Within these walls

It's been almost a year since the last incident that some people would have classed as paranormal, I'm telling you now, it hasn't been easy. I've been hearing bumps in the night and even when it's just me at home on my own I can still hear these noises as if someone is running up and down the stairs, the stairs are made of marble so it's a very specific sound. Doors have been shutting on their own and I keep seeing shadow figures running rings around this mansion but nothing seems believable to me.

Today was supposed to be a good day but once again, due to my mental health, it sucked. All I have is anxiety and depression yet they both affect my life so much. I wake up late and barely eat but I get by swiftly, I got up today and nobody was home because they had all gone to town to pay the bills and whatnot so I thought that it would be a great time to go up in the attic. Something about it isn't sitting right with me, it's like it's drawing me in, I went up into the attic and there was nothing there besides a few boxes and a few cobwebs.

When we first moved into this house we never went into the attic so the person who lived in this house before us must have left the boxes in there. I pulled all the boxes down and started looking through them and I saw old porcelain dolls along with some old newspaper articles about a robbery. I kept looking through the boxes finding all sorts of old things until I reached the bottom of one of the boxes and noticed something wrapped in newspaper, so I unwrapped it and found a Ouija board. I had no clue what it was doing in there with all this stuff but I kept it under my bed along with the other things I found.

I sat in my room for the rest of the day watching movies and playing games but oddly enough I felt like someone was watching me but I didn't see anyone. I decided to take a nap so I turned my TV off and went to sleep but I was woken up about half an hour later by something or someone shaking my bed, as soon as I woke up my TV was on and my canopy bed curtains were swaying side to side. I couldn't take it anymore so I knew I had to tell someone that wouldn't think of it as a joke.

I rang my best friend about it and she suggested that I take a look online for real ghost stories and some paranormal advice, I didn't find much so I told her exactly that but she then suggested I take a look at a YouTube channel called Sam and Colby. She has a thing for Colby Brock so I wasn't surprised when she suggested them to me but I thought 'Fine, it's worth a shot'.

I sat in my room for hours watching all the different videos of Sam and Colby going on these paranormal adventures with their two other friends Jake and Corey. I guess I was starting to think that whatever is happening in this house is paranormal and I'm not sure what to do about it. Maybe the Ouija board has something to do with it or maybe I could use it to find out what the hell is going on.
