Back in Toledo

Chapter Twenty

Wednesday came around and Rooks flight wasn't until later. I was currently stuck helping my nana clean the house. She always liked to make sure her entire house was clean before company came. Even if she did just spend the entire day yesterday cleaning, and trust me when I say this, the women's house has never been dirty a day in her life. You could probably eat off the floor everyday. 

We finished around noon and all I wanted to do was take a shower and nap. I didn't get much sleep last night since it was storming. A lot of people love storms and can sleep right through them, but that is a whole different story for me. I am terrified of storms and I know that sounds stupid but hey, everyone has their fears. Chloe had other plans when she told me we were going shopping once I got ready. No nap for me I guess. I quickly showered and got ready so we could be back in time before I had to meet Rook at the airport. His flight wasn't landing until six but I know Chloe, if she could spend all day shopping she would. We walked downstairs and said bye to my mom and left.

We got to the mall about twenty minutes later and I can honestly say she was the most excited I've seen her in a long time. I look at it as just another mall since I've been here a bunch of times before. For Chloe, it was a new mall in a different state where she has never been before so it was all new for her. What she is forgetting to remember is that it basically has all the same stores as the mall up home, but I'm just gonna let her be excited about it. She made a list of stores she wanted to go in to but all I could think of is hitting up the food court for something to eat. I dragged her to get food before she started her shopping spree. She had almost every store on her list that was in this mall, I already knew we were going to be here for hours. 

"Alright B! What stores do you want to go into?"

"Chlo you have almost every store on your list. I'm sure we'll get to the ones that I want to go to eventually." 

The first couple stores she dragged me in where a few of my favorite stores, so I obviously bought something from every store we hit so far. American Eagle, PINK, Bath and Body Works, Journey's, and Charlotte Russe. I was broke already and we barley made it through half of the mall. We both ended up getting new clothes to take with us to LA and I of course got a few new pairs of shoes. Shoes are my weakness. I ended up buying a new pair of vans, sandals, and a new pair of Dr. Martens, they were my all time favorite shoes! Over half of my shoes were Dr. Marten boots. 

"What time do you have to go pick Rook up?"

"His flight is suppose to land at six." 

"Well it's already almost five. You might just want to go to the airport from here."

"We've been here for three hours?"

"Right?! Doesn't even seem like it! I want to shop more but I need to save money for LA." 

"Well then do you want to go and we can head to the airport and wait?" 

"Yes let's go!"

We walked back out to the car and tried our best to make all of our bags fit into the trunk of nana's car. I guess we didn't really think we still needed room in here for both Rook and his stuff. He spends a lot of his time in LA so maybe a lot of his stuff is already out there and he doesn't have much. We got most of our bags to fit but had to bring some of them up front with us. I sometimes think we have a bit of a shopping problem. Everytime I travel somewhere I always end up coming home with way more shit than I left with. We left the mall and mad our way to the airport. I was so excited to see him! Chloe laughs at me for it but I missed my baby!

"So how are you going to surprise Ava?"

"They'll be at nana's tonight so she'll be there before we get back."
