I could feel my tension rising as I ran through the halls. My doctor rushed me to the back of the small hospital, her sky blue scrubs leading her through the halls. With every turn I felt sicker, seeing nurses eating patients and patients eating doctors. The blood covered the floors with barely any tan tile to be seen in the bland hospital. The smell of the undead growing stronger and stronger. Every turn was as cautious as we could make them while jogging through the establishment. She took her scalpel with her as we ran, she took care of the undead- thankfully none of them had friends. We stopped at her locker and the break room was empty except for one woman with a gun to her head. she was crying, so while my doctor fumbled to get her keys I tried to get her to come with us to no avail. She simply kept saying " We're fucked." over and over through her downpour of tears. My doctor grabbed my arm and as we left we heard the gunshot. We found her car after much blood, and general terror. The nurses gunshot had attracted the stumbling undeads gaze to our directions. So, when we landed in the car we slammed the doors and locked them.

" Mam, I don't know you very well. But I've recently trusted you with my baby and now my life so you should tell me what the hell is going on here." I almost shouted.

"Okay, well. I don't rightfully know. But we started getting women complaining about bites early yesterday. They started to be feverish and we couldn't let them go home. I'm pretty sure that whatever is going on here is completely cur-"

"Zombies. It's freaking zday. Dear God I thought the cdc was joking!" I laughed slightly hysterically.

"Well, we need to find others. I don't have any family, but I would like my dog. But you?"

"You want me to stay with you?"

"Well, I need to make sure your okay."

" I would say that I don't need your patronage, but I sorta do."
