The box looms in front of the pair, casting a rather large shadow. "What do we do now?" Y/N wonders aloud as she reaches for the box. "What should we do, now that we have this box?" She looks to her brother for answers. He shakes his head. "I... I'm not sure." She turns her attention back to the box a curious array of shapes and letters rests along the top and wraps around the sides. She supposes it's just for design, as it didn't seem like there was much else to it. "I think..." She pauses, looking out of the nearby window. The moonlight shines through. "I think we should find his guild." She announces. "I want to know more about...about dad." She turns back to her brother. "Don't you?" He shrugs back at her. "I'm not sure... besides we don't really know any magic anyways." His eyes shoot to the box, the symbols stare back at him. "Well, dad was part of a pretty big guild though. I think we should check it out. Maybe they'll be able to tell us more about him." Ethan's eyes meet his sister's, he rubs the back of his neck. "But, why do we have to know more about him? Why do we have to know more about either of them? I just don't get it Y/N." She looks at her brother with pleading eyes. She holds up the box. "Well, maybe they could tell us more about this weird box?" He shakes his head. "Fine. Let's just get this over with."

The pair belong to the kingdom of Fiore but live on the outskirts of Magnolia. The pace of the bustling city was intimidating for the twins, who had known a slower life for their twelve years. After asking for directions, the pair headed in direction of Fairy Tail, Fiore's strongest guild. Hand in Hand, they stood in front of the guild's giant door. Y/N nervously stares at the doors. "Maybe we should head back, I feel like this was a bad idea." Ethan resolves as he turns to leave. "Too late!" Y/N shouts back as she pushes open one door. "After you m'lady." She bows and glances up at her brother, wiggling her eyebrows playfully. He gives in. "Why thank you good sir." He playfully replies and walks in. The guild certainly lives up to its name, huge and destructive. Everywhere Y/N looks a person is drinking, fighting, or even doing both. The chaotic energy is certainly not something the pair expected. They decide to ask for help from someone who wasn't busy fighting. "Let's split up." Ethan suggests. Y/N shakes her head "No! Are you crazy? What if we get pulled into the chaos?" She whisper-yells back to her brother, fear evident in her voice. Ethan sighs, "Fine, why don't we start... with her?" he offers, pointing to a girl with scarlet red hair seeming to avoid the chaos around her. "Good idea." The pair cautiously rush to the girl, careful to avoid the mayhem unfolding around them. They stop in front of her. "Excuse me?" Ethan starts. "Could you help us with something?" Y/N finishes. The red-headed girl looks up. "Of course, what seems to be the problem?" She replies in a rather serious but seemingly kind tone. "We wanted to know where we could find this guild's master?" Y/N responds, forcing a kind smile. "Could you help us find them?" Ethan jumps in. "Sure." The girl retorts, "Just follow me." The pair nod and follow girl. "By the way, what's your name?" Y/N asks, trying to break the awkward silence evident between the trio. "I am Erza Scarlet. And you two are...?" She replies, glancing back to the twins as she continues their walk. "I'm Ethan, this is Y/N. She's my sister." Ethan answers, a smile evident on his face. "By the way, it's nice to meet you Erza." Y/N adds, a small smile on her face. "Same to you, and it looks like we've arrived." Erza knocks on the door before turning to leave. The pair gives their thanks as she leaves.

The door opens to reveal a small man. "Who are you guys?" The man questions. "It's nice to meet you Mr..." Ethan pauses. "Master?" Y/N tries to finish. The pair look down at the man. "Sorry, we'd like to talk to you if that's alright?" Ethan questions sheepishly. The Master nods and invites the pair into his quarters. After a whole explanation, the master who they have come to know as Makarov, replies. "I see... well Mr. Celeste was a wizard at our guild many years ago, but I am confused as to why you children chose to find out now. Why did you not try to come earlier?" Makarov inquires, glancing at the pair who wriggle in embarrassment. "Well, we did not know who he was." Ethan replies, staring at the floor. "But that's not why we're here. Well, I mean it sort of is, but we actually wanted to ask about this thing." Y/N pulls out the box from the bag that lay on the floor. "After our meeting with the King... We arrived back with this thing. We don't know what it is. Or why we have it." She looks straight in the Master's eyes. "Honestly, we're still pretty confused. Mr. Makarov." Ethan nods at her statement. "Well although I am still unsure as to why you have come here. I can say for certain that this box is enchanted." He examines the box and its odd symbols. "Perhaps... it holds your key?" He raises his eyebrow, intrigue peeking slightly. "Maybe... we can't say for sure what it holds. We were hoping you'd be able to tell us, but it seems we were wrong." Ethan goes to sit up in his chair. The Master stops him. "Now, hold on a second. I understand you may be upset, but it seems you both still have many questions." The pair bring their attention back to him. "What do you mean?"

"Do you not wish to know more about your parents? Why they made these choices?" The pair shake their heads. "No... not really." Ethan replies doubt evident in his tone. "We already know their story. Now we want to write our own." Y/N looks at the master, determination shining through in every possible way. "What do you plan to do?" He asks. "You both are children after all." Y/N looks to her brother, she hadn't thought of that. They really were just kids after all. "Would you maybe like to join this guild?"
