I own nothing. This is inspired by Mame and her work. It is fan fiction. They're is no romance. Only mentions of it.

AUTHORS NOTE: Based on the TharnType novel.

Tharn lost a few hours between the time he left the bar and the time he arrived home on the night that Type bailed on him for a chick..

This is an idea I had of what could have happened.

Be nice. I ignore haters anyway so you might as well not bother.

Tum frowned watching the man who walked past him. He was crying. Tharn was crying. He looked at the drink in his hand, his mind at war with his own heart. He didn't want to talk to him. He had broken Tar. He could never forgive him for that. He didn't want to talk to him. But, Tum sighed, his heart didn't agree with his brain.

Tum tapped his chest, he was watching the man who had been his best friend cry. His heart just wouldn't allow him to follow his brain. “Tharn.” Tum tapped the mans arm, “Are you okay?”

Tharn looked into the face of his best friend. “Tum.” A fresh pain pierced his heart, “I'm sorry! I'm sorry.”

Tum sighed at the broken man in front of him. “Come. Let's sit.” He walked a few steps before turning pulling Tharn with him, “Ai'Tharn, you haven't changed a bit, come sit. I'm not listening to you standing in the middle of the street.”

Tum pushed the man onto the seat and sat across from him. Tharn just stared at his hands on the table, spinning a ring on his thumb. Tum didn't say a word. He played with the straw in his drink watching his former friend. Finally, Tharn spoke. “I fucked up. And now I lost him.”

Tum made a face, knowing that the man wasn't talking about his ex boyfriend. The entire reason they were no longer friends. “So you moved on after breaking Tar?” Tharn winced, his already shattered heart breaking more, causing Tum to sigh seeing the face. They had been closer than brothers for years, and then, Tharn had fallen in love with Tar. Tum loved Tar as well, but his own feelings were torn because Tar was his brother, though not by blood. “Forget it, I'm not going there tonight, even I won't beat you when you're already down.” Tum looked at his drink. “Are you talking about your roommate?”

Tharn blinked, “how?”

Tum dug in his bag handing over tissues. “You look like shit. And I've seen you around together. I've seen the way you look at him.”

A fresh sob broke out of the bigger man. “He's probably kissing her right now. He chose her. He chose her. Why didn't he choose me? Why couldn't he choose me? I love him.”

Tum sighed watching the man in front of him, his hand was itching to reach over and slap him, “Shit! Ai'Tharn. What the fuck?! You don't do straight men. You don't do the curious, you don't date friends.”

Tharn wiped the tears from his face, “I fell for him before I even realized it. I thought he felt something for me. He. He wanted, I should have ended it then. It's over now.”

Tum frowned, “what are you talking about?”

Tharn pulled his phone out showing Tum the text message. “I, I was stupid.”

Tum tightened his jaw, “In the years I've known you, I have never thought you were this stupid.” Tum shoved the phone back towards the other man, “I really want to hit you right now.” Tharn nodded. Tum sighed, “It's close to curfew, you better go back to your dorm.”
