You Changed Me [On Hold]

Chapter 9: The First Meeting

Dad: I said, I want you to take over my job.

Me: WHY?

Dad: Well, it's because, I don't wanna pass this job offer to anyone in the agency, I don't trust them. I already told my boss to tell the clients that you, my daughter, will be their photographer, and they said it was okay.

Me: B-But I'm not that good enough, and I still have school, I have to decline.

Dad: NO! you're not gonna do that, and don't worry about your studies, cause the photo shoots will be after class and during weekends.

Me: Fine.... What's her name again? Was it Naomi Knox?

Dad: Yes, Naomi Jade Knox. They said she's a really famous singer, but she isn't that popular in L.A. so she has to promote and stuff, even though she grew up here. Here's the list of all her likes and dislikes, her hobbies and her personal info. Enjoy!!

Then my dad left and went into the kitchen to check- up on the food, cause Lil took a shower and Jeremy went out to buy drinks. I just sat there on the couch watching TV, while waiting for the food. After 45 minutes, we were done eating. I washed the dishes and then went up to my room. I logged into twitter and tumblr for awhile, then I slept.

The next morning, I did the same routine: wake up, wash my face, eat, brush my teeth, shower, wear my clothes and leave for school. Me and Lil decided that we'd walk to school today since we left early and the school's only 10 minutes away. I told Lil about the work my dad gave to me, about being a photographer and me accepting it. We finally arrived school, I headed towards the music department while she headed to the dance department. I went to some of my classes but skipped two consecutive classes, cause I didn't feel like going. I went inside the movie room, to think. I thought about: I hope her first impression of me is good, will I like her? will she like me? is she kind? I hope we get along. Stuff like that. I've met a few celebrities before, like Ariana Grande, she's a sweetheart, and Niall Horan from One Direction and many more. I got to meet them cause of my dad and some my mom. I kept on thinking, until I fell asleep. I was awoken to the sound of La La by The Cab, someone's calling me and I answer it.

Me: Hello?

Dad: Ciara!! it's already 4:10 pm, you were supposed to meet them at 4. Where are you? I'm at the front gate, I'll drive you there.

Me: I'm REALLY SORRY dad!!! I'll be there right away.

So, I left the movie room and ran as fast as I could to the front gate, and saw our car and got in. We finally arrived at the venue of the meeting and got inside. We were greeted by the manager of Jade and said she was waiting for us. 

Manager: Jade, the "guests" are here.

Jade: Let them in.

We went inside a huge room, with big chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, a big kitchen and dining area, living room, 2 bed rooms, a huge flat screen TV and many more. 

Dad: Ms. Knox, we're really sorry that we're late, it's because my daughter lost track of time.

Jade: Oh, it's alright, and please just call me Jade.

Me: Um.... Jade... I'm REALLY REALLY SORYY !!!

So much for first impression.

Jade: Come on, it's really alright.

She had a warm and natural smile on her face, she's really kind. I guess I'll come to like her. 

Jade: Oh, and one more thing, you'll be staying with me in this suite for two months. I hope we have fun together.

Me: Huh? I thought I was only the photographer.

Jade: Well, the management insisted that you stay with me, cause I haven't had any friends ever since I came back from Switzerland. They said that hanging out with you, who is about the same age as me, will be a good experience for me, even if it's just two months. 

Me: Doesn't it sound like you were forced?

Jade: No, not at all. After they explained it to me, I was so thrilled!!

Me: If you say that, I guess I can live here for two months, but I have to go to school.

Jade: Yay!!! and about school, I'm home schooled. While you're in school, I have private tutors to teach me here, the same time, and when you get back, we'll have the photo shoots and other stuff I should do for the day.

Me: Okay!! then I look forward to living with you.

Jade: Same here!!

Dad: Well, we better leave. I have to rest. Doctors orders.

Me: Bye Jade!!

Jade: Bye Ciara!! Bye Mr. Lockwood

Me and Dad: Bye!!!

Dad: Oh, and Ciara will live here starting tomorrow.

Jade: Okay!! 

Then we left and headed home. I was really excited for tomorrow!!
