"So you are a vampire," Isabelle asked with her eyebrows furrowed. 

She was confused about all of this, a whole new world was being introduced to her. One that her best friend was a part of, and that she hid from her. 

Isabelle had so much that had been going through her mind, her thoughts were so fast that she was not able to comprehend what was passing through her mind. 

"Yeah," Katherine replied. 

For the first time after a long time, Katherine had felt fear. This fear was not one where her life was ending, or where she had met Klaus. This fear was one of her losing her best friend.

This girl was one that Katherine would die before she had lost. Even though they had been friends for a short amount of time in Katherine's lifetime, there was nothing that Katherine would not do for this girl. 

"And you have been following me for years now?" Isabelle moved on. 

The girl wanted to be able to process this newfound information, the one that was somewhat forced on to her, and due to this, she was having a hard time doing so. 

"Yes," Katherine had replied.

At the moment, Isabelle could not understand why Katherine would be following her in the first place. There was no point in following Isabelle around since she was in no imminent danger.  

"I followed you because you may be in danger, and it is all my fault," Katherine replied.

Isabelle's mind was filled with confusion, and everything that Katherine was saying was taking more and more time to be processed in Isabelle's mind. 

"You may not know about the supernatural world, but the supernatural world does know a lot about you," Katherine had added on.

For the first time in Katherine's life, Isabelle had seen her being much more hesitant with her wording. She was speaking as though Isabelle would break and run away at any moment. That she was something fragile and had needed to be spoken to in a particular way. 

"The name Katherine Peirce has become somewhat infamous in the supernatural world. Basically, I have betrayed a lot of people in my lifetime. For this reason, I have a list of enemies, "Katherine had stated.

It was as though there was a switch that had been hit with Katherine's personality at the moment. It was a miracle that Isabelle had not met Elena yet, or else Katherine would have had to have this explanation a lot sooner. Katherine was a different person around Isabelle, and it was time for Isabelle to see the real Katherine.  

"Also, I have also been the cause of a lot of harm and ruin for a lot of lives. Due to this reason, with the supernatural world found out that I had someone who I would consider being my best friend, there was a target on your back," Katherine had finished explaining in the most concise method that she could.

Isabelle had then sat down, taking all of the information in. It was as though at this moment Isabelle's mind was beginning to understand that this is a reality and not something that her mind had conjured up.

"I'm sorry to put this on you, and I know you might not want this on you or even speak to me, again I'm really sorry," Katherine finished. 

When she had said the last phrase, there was a sense of vulnerability in what she had said. This had come from the deep-rooted fear that Isabelle was going to leave Katherine one way or another. 

That belief was changed when Isabelle had spoken, 

"I do not want you to leave, thank you for telling me your secret," Isabelle stated. 

All of the emotions that were emitting from the girl were ones of understanding and truth. That everything that Isabelle had said was true, and that Katherine should be able to trust her. The two women had then hugged each other while smiling. 

The human not knowing that she was going to be part of the supernatural community no matter what she had wanted.
