We arrive at base a while later, its dark, but I continue on. I tell Connor to get José some gear, put him through the basics of spec-opps training. Ltn. Johnson meets me and leads me into a brightly light room. He says to me: "Hand me your helmet son"
I do as he asks, he takes a cable coard from the only desk in the room, he hooks it up to the adapter in the base connector on the bottom back side of the helmet. Within minutes he unhooks the coard and hands me my helmet back. "Put it on. What I installed to your comms unit was a super computer called Virgle. You can ask him anything at anytime and he'll respond.
I'm honestly shocked. "So, your saying that I can be in the middle of a battle field and he can send backup if I ask?"
He smiles and responds, "Yes. Virgle will give advise, battle tactics, even a map of your area that will appear in your right corner of vision. You can send intell to us, or your partners when you are taking a spec-opps mission when you are away doing solo raids."
I say, "OK then.", and I walk to the door to see how Connors doing with our new "trainey". When I hear Johnson say something behind me, I turn and say, "Hmm?".
" Just, one more thing. Uh, Virgle, well he dosn't feel emotion. So when you yell because your in pain, mad, or just scared, he will not respond with a different tone. He's, how do you say... uh monotoned. You will however be able to ask to speak with one of our on-feild operators."
"Uh, OK." I wasnt sure why I should know this but I shrugged it off. I went to go speak with the squad. And left the room.
