Part 24 - Steph...

*TOM'S POV*

It took me just over an hour to come to the conclusion that the other boys needed to know where Jay was. He had just left us with no answers and we all needed to know what the hell was going on and what we were supposed to do without him.

I continued to watch him un-pack all his things from the removal van while keeping my ears open to see if anyone said anything to him. I removed my phone from my pocket and found Nathan, Siva and Max's numbers before sending them the message;

I've found Jay. He's moving into a house which is a twenty minute walk from us. I'll meet on the corner of our road in half hour.

Making sure Jay was out of sight, I began walking back towards the house. I was wondering what we were going to do when we confronted Jay. And I wondered if he would have reasonable answers for why he just leave us...no warning, no apology, no nothing. He just left us and I think that's the thing which annoys me the most. Is just the fact, even after everything we've worked so hard to build, he was willing to throw it all away because he couldn't hack it. I continued for about fifteen minutes along the road before it came to even turning any corners, but once I turned the corner I walked straight into someone.

I immediately recognised her as the girl who had been talking to Jay and trying to convince him to talk to us and not give up everything.but I just pretended like I had no idea who she was, muttered the words sorry and continued with my walk back home. I was stopped in my tracks by the voice calling me back;

"Tom, is that you?" she asked me.

"Yeah it's me, do I know you?" I replied as I slowly turned around to look at the person who was talking to me. It seemed she knew me, but then again everyone knew who I was...I mean I am Thomas Parker of The Wanted. Only an idiot doesn't know who I am.

"It's me, it's Steph..." she replied as I carried on walking towards her.

"Steph...as in Lizzys bestfriend and Nathan's ex-girlfriend?"

"The very same Steph. How is Nathan?"

"Nathan is fine...still hoping that one day you'll come back so he can explain to you what happened that night and prove to you that you're the only person he loves..."

"Don't really think anything needs explaining, he cheated on me with someone...simple as that really!" she replied bluntly. Her looks might have changed but she's still got that same bitchy personality she had the day she left.

"Well, that's always good to know, anyway really must be off now. Was nice catching up with you and sorry I didn't recognise you...you look really different these days!" I said as I began to quickly walk off so that I could meet the other four.

"I'm pregnant Tom...and I'm pretty sure that it's Nathan's!" Steph shouted after me, which stopped me in my tracks. Steph was pregnant...with Nathan"s baby! How did this happen?

We I know how it happened, but Nathan isn't ready for all this responsibilty. He's still only a baby himself, so I don't know how he's going to cope with being a dad. This just can't be happening right now.

"How far are you?" I asked, trying my best to hide the shock and horror I was now feeling.

"Nearly 4 months now..." she replied looking at her feet as she did so.

"But that means you-"

"Yes, I knew before I left Nathan!"

"So why didn't you tell him?"

"I was going to tell him the night I caught him with that girl..." Steph said as I noticed tears gently falling from her eyes. I pulled her into a hug in attempt to calm her down but she seemed really uspet. It made me think that she was actually going to tell him and not just run off with his kid. It made me wonder realise just how much she had fallen for Nathan and how much him cheating on her, broke her heart.

"Ok, I'm going to meet the boys now. Do you want to come with me...maybe you and Nathan could talk?" I suggested.

"Do you think he'd believe me?"

"I think he would and if he loves you as much as he claims, then he'll be there for you and want to help you...if he doesn't, then you know you're better off without him in yours and the baby's life!" I smiled at her as we slowly walked in the direction of where I was supposed to meet the other boys. I checked the time and noticed I was fifteen minutes late for meeting the other 4. The rest of the walk went in silence, Steph only looking at me to throw a quick smile in my direction and I replied in the same manner. I hoped her and Nathan sorted things out. And I hope he does accept that he's now a father...because if he doesn't then it's just proof he's nothing more than a kid himself.

While Nathan and Steph talk, I've already decided me, Max and Seev should confront Jay and find out what his game is. This is going to be fun and I can see myself enjoying this more than I should...
