Chapter Three {Rick's Pov}

Chapter Three {rick’s P.o.v}

“Seriously Rick!” Damien yelled at me.

“What? What did I do? I could have had that deer if you didn’t scare it away, like that. Your such a child sometimes , but you already knew that though rite? He screamed at me.

“I’m the child? Says the one who is throwing a tantrum, because he didn’t feed rick man.”

“I’m not like you . I wont feed from a human , I'll feed from my good old deer’s.” He ran of to catch something else , “Rick I think some one is hurt.” He yelled.

“Yeah what ever it is this time. I’m not playing your games mate I’m going home , I need to meet Skye before she finishes her shift.”

“Rick I’m serious . If I have to come and get you, I'll kick your ass from here to china!” He shouted.

“Fine, fine! I’m coming. Once I got there, there was a young lady laying on the ground. She was unconscious.”

“Is she OK?” Damien asked.

“Does she look OK?” I snapped.

“Is she breathing?” He asked , “I don’t know.” I said.

“Should I check?”

“Oh.. for gods sake Damien , go get the bloody car!” I checked the girl, yes she was breathing, but her heart beat was slowly giving up, she had been beaten up ,possibly mugged.

I needed to get her to the hospital, and fast. Damien came back with the car , he stepped out and with his vampire speed, he leapt at the girl, bearing his fangs.

“Damien no!” I yelled.

I got her in the car in one swift move. He would of fed off her within seconds, the selfish ass hole.

“Damien your walking home!” I yelled.

“And I suggest you feed!” I drove of breaking the speed limits, to get this girl to safety.

I arrived at the A&E department , and gently picking her up and ran in there yelling for help . Some nurses got her a trolley , and I gently laid her on the bed.

“What happened?” A doctor asked, I’m not sure. I just found her in the park . She was unconscious, probably mugged!” That’s all I knew.

“Thank you . We will take her from here!”

“Doctor?”

“Yes?”

“Will she be ok?”

“It’s hard to tell at this stage , but we will do our best.”

“Thanks.” I said.

“I will check on her tomorrow.” I have to come and sort some business out for the family.

I arrived back at the hospital the next day. I went to find Skylar, she is my sister, and she works in the hospital. I gave her the two ice boxes to put in the blood bags every few days. I come here to collect blood bags for our family , although we like to feed on animals, we find that human bloods, some what keeps us alive.

“I'll be a few minutes sky , I got some business to attend to. Put it where you normally store it.”

“Fine but don’t be to long , I finish in two hours. I decided to see how that girl was. I traced her scent and found the ward she was in. I stood outside. She was sobbing. I gently knocked the door.

“Now what do you want!” She said , so I went in and shut the door.

This poor girl she had cuts and bruises everywhere, and her face was swollen.

“Are you OK?” I asked , knowing it was a stupid question.

She was just staring at me. I removed my sunglasses and put them on top of my head. She met my eyes , damn I never let anybody look at me straight in the eyes, but for some reason, I allowed her to and I did the same thing. I stared straight back, and hers it was the pull I had been trying to find for the last few centuries, but I wasn’t sure if I was ready for this, but my body seemed to be. After what seemed like a few minutes , we were interrupted by a nurse. Eventually we got talking , and she explained about this girl not eating, or taking her medication. so we did a deal. Well more like I did a deal with her. I brought her a McDonald’s. She was hungry and I knew her favourite was a big mac with chocolate milkshake. I fed her some chips as we joked about, and I realised I forgot about the blood. I told her I must get going, but to keep safe.

I went to find sky.

“Where the heck have you been!” She snarled at me.

One thing is for sure , never piss of slyer off , especially when she is already mad.

“You said you wouldn’t be long, you were well over an hour! Care to explain?”

“Err... No , not at this point in life.”

“Rick! What if I had been caught? I would of lost this job , and our kind would be out on a killing spree with humans for food. Sometimes you have no brain!” I just stood there and laughed.

“What’s funny?” She asked , after bending down, picking up the boxes.”

“Come on sister, use your brain . You would never get in to trouble. You could just compel people, and erase there memory . Now who hasn’t a brain?”

“Rick I am not like you. I don’t like to taunt humans! Unlike you!”

“Oh... That’s hardly fair sky, we were given our abilities to use them, so why not?” I grabbed the boxes from sky.

“I'll see you at home soon, thanks.” I used my speed to get me to the car , and drove home thinking about that girl.

Rick get a grip! you know nothing about her not even her name. Damn, I hit the steering wheel. No I never got her name! stupid man I cursed myself.

I got home and gave father the bloods.

“So what’s with the girl?” He asked.

“Girl!”

“What girl son, don’t what girl me, the girl you saved and visited.”

“Oh , that girl.”

“Yes Alaric, that girl.”

“There’s nothing to tell , I don’t know her . And father, would you keep from my thoughts.”

“She would be good for you son!”

“Dad , no she has problems to deal with now! Lets just leave it at that shall we please?”

“Yes son , but for now!” I sighed and walked out.

I needed to find Damien. Why had he wanted human blood, he never feeds from humans. It’s not in his nature.
