Mackenzie was Running.
She didn't know when she started, where she was going, she was just running.
She felt the cold wind smacking her face,
The grass and fallen leaves under her feet,
But she didn't see.

Mackenzie Connors was blind.
In her eyes just the thunder, that exploding light that made her sight disappeared.
But she knew that she was stronger now.
That everything she's been through made her stronger, more powerful, invincible.

But she was still running.
Running from something she couldn't see, hear, smell.

Her feet were starting to hurt, her long legs were covered in dirt and blood, deep cuts on her skin, bruises all over her body.
Maybe she wasn't invincible after all.

She fought vampires, witches and now an invisible force was about to kill her?
No.
She wasn't going to give up.

She realised she was in a Wood after about an hour.
The smell of nature filled her lungs while running for her life, branches smacking her face.
She was used to live without her sight, so she kept running, snaking through the trees without touching them.

All she could hear was her own breath, and her feet touching the ground.

She did not know how long she was going to last.
But then she fell.
Mackenzie could feel her ankle break, her bones  cracking, and her knees give up.
She screamed in pain. She screamed until her throat begun to ache, but she knew nobody was going to save her.
So she did the only thing she could think about.
She decided to stand up and keep running, against her body's will.

She was trying to put her weight on the good leg, but the pain was to much to handle.
So she kept walking, jogging a little every time she heard something move around her, her right ankle wasn't going to stop her.

After what it felt like hours she heard something.
It wasn't the wind, or some animal, it was laughter.
Someone was laughing not far away from where she was, so she followed that sound, until there where no more trees around her.
Mackenzie could feel the sun on her skin and the voices were louder, clearer.

Mackenzie stopped.
Her long, blue dress was now ripped and stained with dirt and blood, her hair messy and sweat on her forehead. She wished she could see something around her, a house maybe, but again she couldn't. Even after two years she couldn't believe she didn't have her sight anymore. She couldn't believe she will never see the ocean again.
Before all this mess, she could control just the elements, but at least she could see.
But there was nothing Mackenzie could do.
Or so she thought.

Trying to catch her breath, leaning against a tree, the blind girl tried to focus on the voices she heard: there were boys for sure, snickering and yelling as cavemen.
They were fighting, without weapons, just using their own bodies.
Mackenzie could imagine how the scene looked like:
There are three of them she thought I can hear their skins touching, so they are shirtless, strong enough to not feel pain.
They are grunting. No. They are growling.

And that ways when she realised that she was not near a normal house.
That was a pack house.
They were shapeshifters.

Wait. What if that's...

"Hey!"
She heard a voice shout.
"Somebody is here! Take the girls inside!"

Mackenzie was about to cry.
She knew damn well that voice.
After two years she was back home.

She heard someone run towards her, the sound of feet against the ground getting louder, then stopping suddenly.

"Mack?"
The boy said confused

" help me"
Then she collapsed on the hard ground.
