The plane ride back to Italy was a quiet one. No one said a word afraid to be on the receiving end of their kings wrath or even their queen for who knew her. She displayed power and no one wanted her after them.
The second they got to the castle everyone was dismissed leaving Alex in the throne room seated upon Aro's laps. No one said a word until the doors opened and their ex-wives strutted in
"What is this" Alex questions looking from the wives to the kings nervously
"These are our Ex's. They were leaving when you stumbled upon them" Marcus explained eyeing the wives making sure they wouldnt do anything rash
"So your just gonna kick them out"
"Absolutely " Caius glared at Suplica when she growled
Alex looked the the wives, seeing the hurt in their eyes and the fact they were being abandoned she shook her head no. "You cant just do that to them. They may be your ex but they are still Volturi. Your abandoning family" She knew how it felt to be abandoned and she didnt wish that upon anyone
"Amore mio-"
Alex quickly touched Aro's hand knowing he would see her thoughts on the issue. He would see how her parents left her on the streets scared and alone
"I see,if your really ok with them staying around then it should be fine" Aro gave Caius and Marcus a look before dismissing the women to their room.
"No about you you running away" Aro stood up picking Alex up along with him before putting her in his seat.
She instantly felt intimidated and automatically started calling out to the shadows
"Why didnt you come to us Piccolo " Marcus gaze was soft but stern. He didnt glare like Cauis or look disappointed like Aro and for that she was glad.
"I'm a runner, that's what I do" she mumbled slumping down in the chair
"Do you not trust us. You should have come to us. Confined in us. We are your mates. Do you really hate us that much" Caius stood up in anger. He was hurt that Alex left. Hurt that she could hate them,taking any chance she could find to run. His words affected both Aro and Marcus who couldnt help to think she truly did hate them
"That's not it" Alex snapped instantly regretting when Caius growled at her
"Then enlighten us"
"I love you ok" Alex teared up glancing at her kings nervously. "I thought you were using me. It wouldn't be the first someone has done that and so I just panicked and left"
Without another thought she was picked and hugged by the blonde king."I'm sorry dont cry" He mumbled tearing up himself. Tears that will never fall
No one knew what to say. The kings were shocked to hear her confession. Happy that their mate finally accepted even if it took her running away to figure it out..
Alex pulled away from Caius after awhile and could help but actually smile at the kings that stood in front of her. "I want you all to know about. What I went through growing up. The real me." Rolling her eyes at the smile she got in return she couldnt help but giggle a little. "I want to show you first hand. Let's go to Vegas"
"Why can you just tell us amore mio " Aro was confused. He had looked into her head but some things was foggy. Almost like she had shadows protecting parts and pieces of her memories
"Because you wont fully understand otherwise. Think of it as a vacation of sorts"
"As you wish Piccolo. We will pack right away and prepare"
"Great now that , that's out of the way I'm hungry" She announced just as her stomach decided to make an appearance. "Race you" she winked at her kings before teleporting to the kitchen. She had settled down in a random seat just as the kings made an appearance
"You know that's cheating right" Cauis takes a seat to the left of her
"Theres no rule on how to win. Your just being a sore loser blondie. Suck it up" Alex jokes nudging his side
"Shes not wrong" Marcus takes the seat to the right of her while Aro sat in front of her.
"I'm never wrong"
"Now amore mio I'm glad your in a good mood but I'm pretty sure your aging is growing by the minute "
"My ego is normal thank you very much. Your the self proclaimed kings of the vampire world so if anyone has a big ego you guys do" Alex stuck her tongue out at Aro and mocked glared at him to prove a point.
Joking around some more it was refreshing. No one argued. No one glared,it was just a peaceful day. Everyone hoped it would last but like always peace is an empty promise that never lasts long
