Chapter 3: Back to life

Katsuki's POV

"Yup kacchan will always be there to protect me. Right kaccha-

BOOM

I blacked out. What just happened? Where am I? Was that an explosion? Wheres Izu-IZUMI!! I remember her being the closest to the explosion

"IZUMI" I yelled trying to get out of the car "IZUMI".

As soon as I got up I ran. 'Where is she' I thought as I kept running.

Then I saw something I didnt want to see.

"I-Izumi?" No that cant be her... Izu isnt laying in a pool of her own blood.

"Izu?" I tried to shake her awake. She wasnt responding "Izu?" I said again but louder.

'She cant be dead... what about our plans to become heroes together'

"IZU!?" I said again but full on screaming.

"no no no no izu you cant be dead... please dont be dead please please please dont be dead"

I saw All Might in the corner of my eye fighting the villain. 'He better not let him get away or ill explode his ass'.

I picked up izu and cradeled her in my arms. I held her close so that she would be safe. But as I was cradling her I realized something.....

'Is-is she not breathing' i put my head to her chest and heard a beat 'good shes still alive'.

Then I started to feel really dizzy "Izu" and then I passed out again.

~A few days later~

I opened my eyes and realized I was in a hospital.

I looked around the room, the old hag was holding my hand sleeping and the old man was in the corner of the room also sleeping.

As I tried getting up I felt a pain in my arm "oh crap that hurts like hell" I said very loudly.

"Brat?" I turned around the old hag was awake fuck.

"Old ha-" I didnt even get to finish before she gripped me in a bone crushing hug.

"Dont you ever do that again!" She said while sobbing.

"Okay okay now let me go already you hag"

She let me go and i asked "Wheres Izu?" She froze.

"Old hag where is Izu?" I asked again.

She mumbled something I couldnt quite catch "what?"

"Shes in the ICU"

"Why"

"........because she flatlined 2 times on the way to the hospital. But she survived and all her injuries are gone somehow. Its all over the news"

I couldnt believe what she just said. My best friend died 2 times on the way to the hospital.

"What? Tell me thats a joke old hag"

"Im sorry Katsuki.... but she just woke up turns out she was looking for you but the hospital isnt allowing anyone other than family to visit her."

I was about to say something but she cut me off.

"And the story of the little girl who died 3 times is all over the news so the reporters are stationed outside waiting to get an interview with her.
There is also a video of All Might picking you and Izumi up and saying 'Im sorry I wasn't able to protect you my beautiful baby girl' its also on the news."
