Upon waking, Y/N burrowed herself into the warm, soft sheets. She rubbed the remainders of sleep from her eyes and gazed out at the horizon; its vivid light extended across a rosy sky. She supposed this was something the majority of people would consider beautiful, but she found it strange, hard even, to find something so meaningful in something that happened everyday. It's not like the sun wouldn't rise, it had, after all, been reliably happening since the beginning of time. So what was so special about it? She could never feel the joy from it that others did, the magic that drew so many artists and photographers in, as if they had some lens or filter she'd missed out on.
Y/N took a glance to her analog alarm clock, it wasn't even 6 in the morning, she sighed, running her hand through her nappy, thick hair. Her first class in Korea started at 8, and her host family was planning on driving her to her new high school the first day. Y/N liked her host family and found it quite comforting to have them. A few minutes later, her alarm clock began to ring, she tripped over her own foot trying to get to it as quickly as she could in order to not wake the others.

Now was the time Y/N had to get ready, she had her school uniform folded and already ironed, the pieces of clothing sat prettily on her nightstand. She lifted her shirt up, pulling it off of her head, proceeding to grab a bra. She slid the bra around so she could clip it easier, and she did. After putting her bra on, she put a dark navy blue shirt on, following it up with a blazer and a tie.. but Y/N couldn't quite get the tie right. "Oh well," Y/N thought to herself, knowing she could go on the internet to find out how to tie it correctly.
But what Y/N could do is put her skirt on, brush her hair and teeth, spray some perfume on herself, and put deodorant on, and that's exactly what she proceeded to do. She looked at herself in the mirror, smiling a bit. Y/N was glad to see her skin was clear and dewy. She got caught up in her own gaze and looked back at her clock, it was only 6:32. Sighing out of relief, she took a pair of short socks out of one of her drawers, and slipped them on. Her shoes she was going to be using for school were waiting for her downstairs. And so she went down as quietly as she could..

Y/N didn't realize that her host parents were already awake, or so she thought. The first few steps down the stairs that Y/N took, she could smell the freshly cooked bacon and eggs. It was a simple breakfast, but she was beyond grateful that her host family cared enough to make her breakfast.
"Good morning mothe-" Y/N tried to say, expecting to be met by her host mother, but instead, she was met by a tall boy.
I stared at the boy in shock, "Are you supposed to be here?"
Was all that managed to slip out of my mouth, I felt frozen, my pale cheeks flourished into a rosy pink. The boy smiled, and my heart melted. He was adorable.. he was.. my host brother..?
