Chapter 1

Nervous...She wakes up to her first day of college she says aloud to herself, "Come on, you can do this Neflei!" She quickly gets dressed and rushes out the door. As she gets into her car her neighbor Iris yells at her, "Neflei!!" She quickly looks over and says, "Good morning Iris what do you need this morning?" She laughs. "Ha ha ha." She says sarcastically. "Could you give me a ride to school with you?" she rolls her eyes and takes a deep breath, "Yes, hurry up lets go." She thanks her and gets in the car. As they drive Iris says, "Neflei are you ok? Your driving is a little edgy this morning." she answers, "Yeah I'm just nervous, this is my first day of college. Do you want to get coffee?" She answers "Sure." They drive a few blocks to grab coffee to go.

        After they grab their coffee, they run into Greek Mythology 101. They look to find good seats. Iris asks, "Where do you want to sit?" Neflei looks around and sees a boy with a name tag that says Vin. "Lets go sit in front of that black haired guy." Neflei says. Iris comments, "Why? He isn't cute." Neflei with a pissed look on her face says, "Just lets go sit alright!" They walk over, Vin staring at them shortly. At the corner of her eye Neflei looks back, smiles slightly, then quickly looks away. Vin quietly asks his friend Jay, "Hey who is that blonde in front of us?" Jay answers, "That's Neflei she used to be a good friend but, now she just keeps to herself." Vin thinks to himself, "Hmm I wonder why?" Iris and Neflei talk silently to each other. Vin, still staring at Neflei. He thinks to himself, "Wow, she is beautiful. Why does she keep to herself why can't she just talk to me?" He continues to think to himself until...the bell rings.
