Distressed

Chapter 6

She sits letting all that has been said set into her thoughts. She looks at Vin afraid but, sighs of relief. She sits closer to Vin and lays her head on his shoulder,  cuddling him.  He rubs her back and quietly whispers, "What are we to do?" Neflei looks up at him sadly and says, "I don't know.." she puts her head down slowly on his shoulder. He looks down at her and kisses the top of her head. She smiles slightly and blushes. He whispers in her ear quietly, "Will you go out with me...I'll make you the happiest girl in the world because if you're with me I would treat you like the angel you are no matter what you are or what I am..." He leans his head down. She sits and thinks what she should do, she leans her head up looking into the fiery eyes of Vin but, sees the diming of flames enough to see compassion in his eyes. He stares at her with hope in his eyes but, puts his head down and frowns. She looks at him and puts his head up and smiles, "Yes, I'll go out with you Vin!" she says with excitement. Vin's eyes widen and he gets the biggest smiles as his veiny bat-like wings pop out of his back hopping up and picking up neflei hugging her.

Neflei smiles and starts walking home, She turns and says, "You coming?" She smiles and holds out her hand. Vin grabs it and follows her. They walk around the park and go into the woods that lead to Neflei's apartment. Vins bat-like wings still out and his pointy tail grows out. Vin smiles sheepishly..." Neflei?" says Vin. Neflei looks at him, "Yeah Vin?" He looks at her and smiles, "you know if you just imagine you having wings they will appear you know that right? Vin says. Neflei sits there and tries to concentrate, she closes her eyes and begins to try and concentrate. Out of no where her soft angel wings pop up and halo.

        She smiles and strokes one of her wings. "Wow, they're softer than I thought.." She says smiling. He looks at her with sympathy and looks at her smiling, "You're so beautiful." He says. She looks at him quickly and smiles, "You really think so?" He looks at her, "Most definently." He says. They arrive at her apartment, on the front porch. "Thank you for helping me find myself I guess haha."  He smiles, "You're welcome." He leaves and she walks into her apartment. Closing the door behind her, she slides down the door.
